      It's normal, i guess. Same happens with Google WiFi but it just slows down the speed a lot to the point you can't use it.

      Microwave can cause interference with the 2.4 GHz spectrum but that comment speaks more about your microwave than it does the product.

    I need something like this for the kids but with parental controls. My current routers controls are terrible or don't work. Any suggestions?

    Really just looking to setup a separate wifi access point for them with restrictions.

      Yes, and then extends or repeats the current network. You can set a new SSID or just repeat the current one you are using with your router.
