This shredder is pretty cheap.
But it's online only. I think you have to pay extra for delivery.

Save $1.98 wow
This product doesn't work, pretty much. After shredding two or three papers - loudly - it makes weird noises and then stops working.
We literally just ended up ripping the paper manually into little pieces in the end. Not worth 10c.
So you took it back?
I also Have 1 of these - can handle 3 pages of A4 at once struggles with any more
Slow and paper often gets stuck - requiring it to be turned off and paper removed
I would look else where for a paper shredder - but a good price none the less
Strip cut shredders suck anyway compared to cross/confetti cut, and not for the reason that first comes to mind - rather because the bin fills so much sooner as the long strips curl on themselves and waste a lot of space. It's doubly annoying on shredders with smaller size bins.
Kmart has the OfficeOne (house brand?) 5 sheet cross-cut shredder every now & then for $25. Seems to work fine, but probably faster to do 3 sheets at a time, otherwise it slows down. Only had it jam when put too much in, easy to yank out.
The Woolworth's equivalent is on sale at wollies for $13.99 looks identical but different branding and comes in 3 colours. I bought the big w one instore though as I saw it first. Great shredder as I've been using it heaps. 3 or 4 times to the point where it auto shuts down due to overheating (not supposed to do copious amounts of shredding at once). Still working good. I figured I'd put it through its paces while within its 12 month warranty.
Its in the catalogue so it should be in store too for $18 (from Thurs) unless Im looking at the wrong model.
