  • Good price for the features, I just spent $300 on the AC1000 model which includes a camera but only comes with one parent unit.

HOWEVER, the AC1000 model has one big advantage over most others that I found (including this one) in that it uses 2.4GHz rather than the usual radio system so interference is much less, we had an older Angelcare model and the continuous white noise was unbearable, we replaced it with the AC1000 model and it is completely silent until the baby makes a noise and then the signal is crystal clear, no fuzz. I do note that the model on special here does have a voice activation feature which may prevent the white noise problem.

    • Where did you get your AC1100 for $300? They are usually around $350 to $400.

  • Angelcare Deluxe Movement and Sound Monitor AC402 (ACS-402P)
229.95 - Buy it Now from BabyZoneDirect <- cheaper there.

We have this unit, solid perfomer, love it… removes a bit of the stress of a new parent. amazing how sensitive these things are.

we did have an aldi camera unit seperatly, but the wife broke it >:( that was great.

so yeah if i was buying again id definatly get the one with a camera.

    • It's $239.95 and no free shipping.

    • been thinking about one of these angelcares - how do things like a/c or fans affect it? ie. is movement still detected when the baby isn't in it and the fan is on for example? thanks :P

      • If you remove baby from crib, alarm will sound after 20 seconds. A/C and fans will not affect the motion sensor. Good thing is it also monitors the room temperature. So if you A/C is set too cold or hot, the alarm will sound if it goes out of the range you set.

      • We been using one for 18 months now and it is excellent. However we had ours set too sensitive and the alarm didn't go off when bub was removed and the fan was on. Took a few nights of adjustment to find the sweet spot where it went off when bub was out of the cot without getting false alarms as well.

  • Just checked Babyzone Direct, selling for $239.95 - not sure about stock level.

Amazon UK have the AC401 for about ~AUD$176.00 delivered but comes with a UK plug and only one mattress sensor pad.

The AC1100 from Amazon UK delivered for ~AUD$273.77 with UK plug.

I'm still don't know which one to buy :(

    • ahh sorry about that, just punched it in on shop bot, and couldnt drill down, seems there is a problem with shop bot…

get one with video… well worth the extra money… specially when your not sure if baby is sleeping, last thing you want to do is wake them when you go in and check on them…I miss our video unit.

    • Last I checked, Amazon UK don't ship many baby things to Australia. Unless you have friends/family willing to send them on, you're stuck with local distributors.

For the record, we have an AC401 and love it. Haven't ever seen the point of a camera but then we have a small home so we're never far away.

I bought my AC401 via Amazon - but from one of their sellers: http://www.oneclicktoys.com/

I'd recommend the baby monitor, and this seller. Yes, they shipped directly to me in Melbourne. I recognise that this is a good deal for AU stock though, I was looking at $300+ for the AC401.

Was about 90GBP (plus postage). Yes, it came with two british plugs, but I went to eBay and bought 5x converters at $1 each. Handy things to have around the house.

Still worked out about half the price I could get in Australia. I reckon I can sell mine when we're done with it for a profit. :)

I'm not sure why you'd want two parent remotes or two pressure pads (Unless you had twins?) for that matter. We take turns with the remote - when I have it, my wife doesn't want one! ;)

Edit: Holy shit! Just looked at their site again and wow!
        http://www.oneclicktoys.com/angelcare-rechargable-movement-s…
Yeah, I thought I got a good deal, now I think I may have been ripped off. If they deliver free to AU for £66.40, you'd be mad to miss it if you're in the market.

    • I was looking at the AC402 Deluxe but later bought the AC1100 video model. The video night vision is quite good. You can see quite clearly in total darkness. One thing I don't like about this model is that if you turn off the screen to save battery, you do not know if it is actually on or off.

      • where did you get the AC1100, thepharmacy.com.au? I think the price was lower at babyzonedirect.com.au

        • Bought it from Baby Kingdom.

  • Good price for Australia but about half price from amazon.com

    • possibly 110 volt transformer…UK one may be better.

though id imagine you should be able to use a universal transformer for power…

      • UK power unit works here without a problem. UK is on 220-240 anyway.

        • yep, but he said amazon.com, hence my comment on UK one may be better as its 240.

      • agreed! also, Amazon.com doesn't ship it directly.

  • I've got this device, it's bloody good in case anyone is wondering.
Never had a false alarm from the movement detectors and the quality of the audio is pretty good.
    Rarely get static.

  • This website is the cheapest I have found the ac1100 if anyone interested in that version http://www.babyshoponline.com.au/cateitem/sp/pname/Angelcare… have been looking at these monitors for a while now…

    • Product is currently on back order until mid February 2010 ?

Something sounds dodgy. This product was not available in 2010.

  • When I put it in the cart it said it was in stock… Could be an error?
