  • Not saying its a bad price competitively but the price going up from $3 to $5 is not a bargain. Plus at $5 its not even a bargain, simply marketing.

$5 is a bargain for CBD parking. Brisbane isn't as expensive as Sydney or Melbourne, but the standard rate at Secure and Wilson in and around the city is at least $10 for evening/weekend parking.

      • I am not saying its a bad price, its not a bargain when they have increased the price. As for $5, I have been parking in Brisbane city for over a decade for free on weekends and evenings on the street. As for car parks, yes they are expensive but I would imagine you would also pay that for convenience and location. King George Square has had $5 parking on evening and for 4 hours on weekends which suffices for the majority looking for cheap parking.

it is not 5 on king george square parking any more.

Yeah I second saying it's not a "bargain" when it went up from $3 to $5, but it is still comparatively cheaper than Wilson Parking / Secure Parking.

But to make it worth your stay in the car park, if you join their Express parking membership program (free), it essentially auto recognises your number plate at the gate so you don't have to grab a ticket and saves you 20% of the parking fees.

  • There's plenty of $5 parking on Wilson parking locations too. Not all but enough. Much closer to Queen St if you're going that way.

  • Be careful guys their time on the machine is not as per AEST. Its behind by around 10 minutes so if you entered before 4.10pm you will be charged day rate.
