Came across this while shopping on Amazon AU today. Looks like a good deal @ $899 delivered. Best price I can see around right now.
Anyone know how the Max G30L compares to the original Max G30 (JB selling @ $1,049)

Yeh what’s the go there. I see ppl riding them all over Sydney?!!
People all over Sydney take illegal drugs too… Same thing….
If you get caught though, that's another matter…
Saw people riding these on Southbank in full view of the police…
Yeah, a few copped fines the other week too.
Which week?
@RSmith: Look through the comments in previous deals and you'll find it.
@jv: You are making the claim. You should provide the proof.
Why?
You are the one that wants to know… I already know…
Of you already know that they are not legal then why you need to bother to check the thread of e-scooters?

Good article.
The jist is that the original is better is basically every way. Some shorter riders may prefer the G30L though as its a bit smaller and lighter.
So many people here whinging about legality of scooters….
Here's some advice, don't be salty. A deal is a deal (price and value wise) despite whether or not you can take advantage of it. There's no need to cry yourself a river just because you're unfortunate to ride one of these in your own town.
So many people here whinging about legality of scooters….
Whining and doing something illegal are very different things…
Many of us would like to ride these legally, but can't and choose not to risk an $800 fine…
talk to your state MP that's the only option that might make a difference
Dan won't answer my calls.
@jv: If you talk on the phone like you type out comments, I'm not surprised.
@TheRealCJ: Do you mean when I yell out occasional words?
@jv: Mostly by the way you won't shut up.
@TheRealCJ: I don't recall posting any audio here…
@jv: Like I said. You won’t shut up.
Here's some advice
Don't need your advice…
The comments section in OzBargain is for people to discuss the deal and the product, whether you like it or not…
It's not just for fanboys and positive comments. People have differing opinions and are just as entitled to state them as you.
Don't like my advice don't comment back? My comment wasn't targeted at you. It was at the general population. Your comment doesn't provide any constructive feedback "about the product" itself. No wonder your comment got negged and here you're trying to argue your point.
Don't like my advice don't comment back?
Don't like my whinging don't comment back?
@jv: I never said "YOU" were whinging specifically. Gosh you sound butthurt. Life must suck not being able to ride a scooter right? 😭
I never said "YOU" were whinging specifically.
I took it personally…
and I represent all the whingers out there…
Life must suck not being able to ride a scooter right?
Correct, Dictator Dan won't allow us to down here…
Max G30L (2nd Gen), I think the L in the G30 stand for Lite, so it should be Max Lite.
7 days ago, there was a deal $50 cheaper than this price. Might be worth to wait for a sale, instead of paying this RRP.
I don't accept negative votes because really come on this price is not a sale price
Thanks for this! Although they’re now selling at $929 :\
As above stupid naming by Australian stores. This is the Lite which happens to have what user groups call the Gen 2 motor on it.
Proper information on the different versions of the Max: https://wiki.scooterhacking.org/doku.php?id=nbmax
thanks…
Available for $849.99 at Costco Ringwood
