So, how do you redeem 30% off online? Is there a code?

    • No code, they already have 30% off
ie. $7 final price (save $3)

    • They should already be marked at their reduced price online.

    • maybe discount already applied to the items

    • Oh… I was looking at a few items and thought even with the extra 30% off it's not a particularly great price =[

  • Are you sure it's all? A cursory check of the website shows some with a reduced price (ie $X, save $Y) but others under $50 have no discount applied.

    • There are a few that have no discount applied to them, If anything they're still going through a few games I believe seeing as it started today.

For instance Modern Warfare is $28 for the 360 but $40 for the PS3.

      • Can always wait and see I guess. If the PC Medal of Honor gets an extra 30% off, it's not bad at $20.

Nothing good at the wollongong store.

    • Thanks, saved me some time going in today :-)

  • $10.50 for a copy of mass effect, awwwww yeah!!

  • there's this game $10, is not discounted and no free delivery. :(

  • damn i want nba2k12 for ps3 for $27.95.
    why wii???!!!

setup a stock alert for the same game for $32.85 from game uk if you like

  • Some pretty decent deals but all are in store only, oh well.

Sim City 4 seems particularly cheap at $3.50 though

True, but it's an old game. Never particularly stable on my old system either…

Tekken Hybrid is $35, that's pretty cheap considering it also comes with the Tekken CG movie!

    • Indeed Indeed! I price matched at my local HN and they had no issues doing the game for $34.95 normally $54 :)

  • Dick Smith site is down for 'maintenance'. Hmm..

Should the title say "and Online"? On DSE website I search for Forza 3 and two items show up, one for $20.95 with free delivery, then another for $14 saying "instore only" with no home delivery options. So in reality, the special is instore only, no?

    • NO is correct.

Not all titles are available in the Warehouse.

    • Whilst a majority of them are not available online, there are still a few which are, i.e. Crysis 2 PS3, Deus Ex PC etc

    • And both versions shown are different - none of which is the "ultimate" edition..

I got the ult. version from JB's 2 for $40 deal, so not terribly upset by the price.

  • Outstanding Grimezy !!!! I just went down to Wollongong and grabbed a Moshi Monsters NDS game for $34, the kids were hanging for this one! Thanks !

  • picked up PGR4 and Pure for $17, games to add to the collection

  • Undoubtedly great deal, the only problem being, if your local DSE is anything like mine the only PC titles they stock are some Starcraft/Diablo II boxed sets and a whole range of the worst selling "That's Hot"/Ubisoft Classics range.

Need to cruise around to a couple of DSE's to make the most of this.

    • Yeah, I totally agree..Mine are pretty crappy so I never bother to look at them. More disappointment than not which is why it's a shame so many of these deals are for pick up instead. Still awesome if you can pick up what you want.

      • The other problem with DSE's stock of PC games is that they have to be the slowest retailer in Australia to discount their PC titles after launch.

Look at some of the ridiculous, uncompetitive pricing they have.

Games like RAGE, Starcraft II, Modern Warfare 2 and Shogun 2 are all still selling at close to their launch RRP's. These games have been out for at least 6 months if not more than a year. 2 years in the case of Starcraft II.
It's ridiculous. You can find all of these online for around $30 dollars.

These games should all be drooped to $28 dollars, in line with Crysis 2 and DX:HR (which is only 4 months old, yet cheaper than Modern Warfare 2? lol).

I've also seen incredibly old, bargain bin titles like Red Faction: Guerrilla, Mass Effect 2 and Arkham Asylum still selling for $30 at DSE. Games that EB, JB, even HN would have piled up in their $10 dollar bargain bins.

DSE is such a sloppy and dodgy retailer.

        • Agreed. I mean I went into DSE Cannington today and they tried to sell me Call of Duty Black Ops for $70. Um…no thanks.

The prices for Crysis (PC) are pretty darn good.

Just picked up Crysis 2 for $26.60 (incl. staff discount).

Just a hint for anyone who gets potentially shafted by their moronic staff, DSE's staff evidently aren't aware of special discounts unless they're plastered all over the homepage because I went to a few DSE's, given the incredibly poor stock levels at my local one, one guy at Innaloo (WA) had no idea the discount was effective until Sunday.
He goes to check on the computer, goes to the DSE homepage (lol) and looks around for any mention of 30% off and then retorts "Nope, sorry".

Then I tell him to scan an item that was marked as $40 dollars and the price comes up as $28. When in doubt, ask to scan an item.

  • Grabbed Super Scribblenauts for $21.00. Thanks OP!

  • Killzone 3 & GT5 are now also $21 each.

    • Can't find GT5 now. Must be sold out!
