HomePod mini is a decent piece of kit but I’ve found it drops out a lot when using airplay unless you have a really really strong wifi signal. I was getting 88mb/s and HomePod mini was struggling but I upgraded and get 230mb/s now and it works fine. Just an FYI for any potential buyers.

  Your internet speed won’t make a difference but your Wifi reliability does. AirPlay is locally streamed over Wifi.
