The device is good, their app is just crapware.

    • What’s wrong with the app? Are you using the same model, the app for the Wifi version is really good, I’ve had no issues with it. I’ve heard the app for the BT one isn’t as good though.

It’s great because it reliably plots pit temp through the cook so I can go back and see how things went which is especially helpful when getting into long low and slow cooks with charcoal.

    • I agree. The thermometer is great but the android app is buggy as hell and the charts are really annoying to use.

  • I bought one of these over a year ago and I reckon they're not as accurate as my old Inkbird bluetooth one. The colour coded probes are great, although after half a dozen uses in a charcoal bbq the colours all start to look the same.

    • Hmm. I have a very accurate Lavatools Javelin Pro pen I can compare against. TBC.

Do you still have your old 4XC unit? Try using those old probes (if they retro fit) and see?

    • The probes on mine have held true better than the ones on the Maverick I had previously.

Since when did bad advertising make the deal bad.. inkbird brand are respected products and this one is more for a low and slow or smoking style of barbecuing.. I am not into it because paying 1000 plus for a barbecue which is used once a month doesnt work for me but the product is a true bargain ..check the prices online.. don't knock a product just because you do not need it .. thanks OP .. hopefully someone will find it useful …Edit.. not intended for people who have bought the product and used it .. if you guys think its no good then thats different..I have used a few inlbird products and couldnt fault them but have never used this one nor will I ever need it

    • What are you going on about……..who said it was a bad deal (so far)?
Perhaps revise what has been said so far………opening few comments were having a laugh at the pics in the Ads (not the product)
Regardless, comments here noting whether the product is Good or Bad is exactly what is needed so others know in advance to buying and whether in fact it is a Bargain.

      • How about saying it is a good deal then ? I watch netflix for standups.. your mileage may vary.. OP posted a deal … the advertising is funny but so are for most products ..I do not get it..If I had taken the trouble of posting this deal I would have stopped posting any more deals after the comedy session

  • Except the OP who I am trying to protect is a mate :-D ..well apologies lads ..my bad for sounding like a grandpa… go nuts

    :-D

  • Fyi… This deal is still going
