Menulog Won't Refund Me/Give Me a Voucher after Caffe Primo Sent Me This

How much do you think these meatballs cost me? $17.90 and the milkshake was $8, that's how the milkshake came to me, i didn't drink any of it and it didn't get spilled or anything.

They said " Because of your account history and the nature of this complaint, I will be making a follow-up with the Solutions Team, so that they can contact you as soon as possible." I first talked to them about it over a week ago. They have never replied to me not even once. What do they mean my account history? The only time i ask for vouchers is if a major item is missing, which with McDonald's is quite very often. A few months ago McDonald's Gawler forgot my entire order except for a burger and 1 fries, it was a $33 order. I got the hint that they didn't believe me. They only gave me the voucher that time because I kept going back onto the chat to talk to them 5 times.

I've probably spent between $1000-2000 in the last 2 years with Menulog.

Edit: They refunded me now

that thread wasnt a complaint thread, i was asking who had the best chips. the HJ chips were totally inedible not just no salt

      • I think in this case they are advising new terms for this customer prior to an order, so those terms are part of the deal.
In this case, where the restaurant that seals the bag is making the error, but the delivery company has to address the complaint, I can understand why they don’t want a complaint that kills their profit on every order.

I suspect if op pushes the point that ACL applies or whatever, they will just refuse to do business with them at all. At least this way, the op can order from the restaurants they know don’t make many mistakes.

You cannot give up your rights under the ACL and if a companies attempts to make you that is an offence.

You are paying for food through these companies you are not paying them just to pick it up and deliver, otherwise they wouldn't be taking a cut of the money given to the Resturant.

    • Sounds like you might need to work out a long term plan for food management.

Not sure how frequent you and family are getting take away food, but it sounds quite a lot and would also cost more than home prepared food.

Is there not another in the house that could prepare / cook food?

  • My gosh, some users here are real pieces of work.

    1. There's people out there that are time poor or have limited space to make meals/shared kitchens.

    2. Criticism towards someone's predicament/experience says more about you than the person telling the story. Some folks are way too abrasive online, seek assistance for anger issues.

    3. You only need to see the reviews on menulog to understand that they are horrible to deal with when something goes wrong. If you're a heavy user, your likelihood of this happening is greatly increased. A similar situation had occured with a colleague.
