My favorite pair of noise cancelling headphones, down to an amazing price. Usually over $800, a great price for versatile headphones.

Sound from these headphones comes out a bit bassier, with very clear treble. They can be used wired, either via USB-C or via the headphone jack (which doesn't require power).

How longs the battery life on this and how's the sound quality when compared to XM4s or Airpods Max.

Their stats quote 18 hours, however for me can usually last a week of commuting with ANC (noise cancellation) + time in the office.
ANC would be worse than the XM4s, however I prefer the sound quality over the Sonys, Bose and airpod Max

    • $555~ if you pay with Suncorp benefits discounted gift cards too!

  • Seen these pop up a fair bit. Interesting now that some Bose 700 deals are now <$400 and in most comparisons are the preferred model.

    • When you start looking at premium headphones, it becomes much more subjective. Comparing to consumer anc mid range headphones you should do it by listening to them.

Always keep in mind the issue of diminishing returns, which I think is strong in the bluetooth headphone space, even more so then wired headphones. Ignoring things like their build quality and materials used, which are top notch, how much better are these going to be in terms of sound quality and feature set compared to say the recent Sennheiser BT450 and Beyerdynamic Lagoon deals? Which were around $150 and $230 respectively.
I'm not saying don't buy these, but just keep in mind what you want out of a ANC headphone and think about the value you're getting for your money. I just wanted to say this before someone gets excited, buys these and ends up kind of let down.

    • Keep in mind that these also run off 3.5mm and USB c audio. If someone wants better or specific sound it’s obvious you can’t buy el cheapo headphones. Are bt450 better than $30 tws earbuds, in terms of diminishing returns? Nope. Value is in the requirements and features. Bt450 IMO can’t be compared to even popular mid range cans like qc35 and xm3. Let alone premium cans

  • Worth the price?
