  • Not waterproof, but alright for cooking?

  • Thermapen is a specific product of which that is not

    • Sorry for the mistake. It's not Thermapen or distributor of Thermapen. We are inkbird.Have fixed the problem.Sorry

  • My Inkbird thermometer pen is broken i'm pretty sure. When I turn it on the display is LLL.L F and when I press one of the buttons it changes to 888.8 with everything on the display displayed. It doesn't read. tried a new battery. Can I get a new one?

Apologize for the confusion. We are inkbird, not thermapen. We have fixed the title.

  • Thermapen is a brand, sneaky wording

    • Sorry for the confusion. It's not Thermapen and we are inkbird. Have fixed the problem.

  • Thermapen is a registered trademark of ETI, Ltd. ThermoWorks is the exclusive distribution partner of ETI, Ltd.

    • Sorry for that.We are not Thermapen and we are inkbird. We have fixed the title

  • How "instant" is this?

I have an older model Inkbird pen and it's just as slow as any other generic china pen.

I'm going to look at Javelin as that seems to be the next best thing to a Thermapen for the price…

I have the waterproof version of their instant read pen and it's good. Inkbird has a really good rep in all the BBQ groups on FB that I'm a member of. Diminishing returns on the name brand thermometers, not really worth it for home cooking.

Agreed, I've got the instant IHP-1P and it's very good. I've also got the RF Wireless multi-probe BBQ unit & it's better than my old Maverick.

        • Yep I replaced my Maverick with an InkBird and the InkBird is way better.

@Cheaplikethebird: I'm going to get the inkbird 4 probe wifi unit next after my Maverick XR dies.

But I'm going to get the Javelin Pro Duo pen for $55.

            Thx for the comments.
