Was looking for a gaming mouse with "infinite scroll", and find out the Logitech G502 is a decent gaming mouse. Currently discounted to $79 at Umart.
Possible price beat at Officeworks to $75.05. I haven't tried yet but I will see if I can get it from Officeworks. (currently listed as $99)
Man i remember playing BF 1 when I mained this mouse and my wrist would get SORE man haha. Comfortable and fun mouse but yeah so heavy looking back on it.

They are, but TBH I couldn't find a nice balance without using lots of weight. So it was either mid-weight and average balance (for me, ymmv) or heavy-weight and good balance.
Good mouse overall though, and this is a good price.
The mouse is still fairly heavy without any weights. Especially compared to my trusty G304. Good mouse for use at the office though.
I mean - it doesn’t worry me one way or the other - but aren’t at least the wireless versions of these rated as one of the best gaming mice on the market? Just mentioning because a few people are saying ‘yes they are an ok mouse’ :)
@Mortal Krumpet: Yeah they are good gaming mice, I suppose weight and size are personal considerations since my hands are relatively small which means I prefer smaller and lighter mice. Plenty of people love the G502 for gaming.
@Mortal Krumpet: in terms of build quality both versions are still great but the massive weight (even the wireless is still 115g, ~25g heavier than comparable top mice) stops it from cracking even zy's top 40 these days https://www.rocketjumpninja.com/top-mice. weight and shape matter a lot now that basically every decent new gaming mice has an essentially perfect sensor, which was the original differentiating selling point for the g502
It’s about the smallest which has that thumb rest. And my fidgety nature likes to pop on and off the magnetic cover.

A lot of logitech mouses come with the free scroll the G700 is another one.
I've got a logitech mx anywhere 2s, and when you press in the scroll wheel it toggles to infinite scroll. Press it in again and it's back to clickety scroll wheel. The little actual button below the scroll can thus be mapped to middle click if you miss it, like I did.

I got one from the afterpay eBay sale for $63. Would have been happy to walk into Officeworks and pick one up for $75 to use immediately.

According to ozbargainer comments, this one is not a wireless mouse, so is not good for gaming.
Just be careful of the double clicking issue that still exists. I went through 3 of these with this problem in 2 years, even with the wireless version. Switched to Razer Deathadder V2 afterwards, which is a shame because I really love the ergonomics of the G502.
I've had multiple versions of this mouse: 3xproteus spectrum, 3xhero, 1xhero special edition and none of them deveoped the double click issue. Still using the SE as my main daily.
Wow you got lucky there. I have about 7 other friends that all got the double clicking issue about 6 months in. If it weren't for this issue, Logitech all day.
I also had problems with the double clicking on this mouse. I know other people that have had same problems. It's still a great mouse, just don't expect it to last for 2 years+.
I would recommend keeping your receipt. Logitech customer service replaced this mouse with the wireless version when I ran into problems. Be prepared to show them proof of the problem though.
Same with me, had this one, then G903. Both developed double click. Now I have a G Pro Wireless which I’ve had for about 18 months or so. Only a few weeks ago it started double clicking. Unfortunately it’s pretty common but it’s also a great mouse so I’ll probably just buy another one lol…
I've also had two of these as I love the ergonomics. Base model was the first one I had owned for four years, replaced as I'd worn down all the rubber grips & pads on the bottom of the mouse to the point it was unusable. Now have got the RGB model, no issues with this one either. Maybe I got lucky!
Owned one of these for years. Great mouse with enough buttons for most games.
My only complaint is its a little bit narrow width wise for my liking, but not so much that i've bothered to replace it.

Great mouse. Logitech Ghub software (which you'll need to set the mouse up) is a usual crap though. I use this mouse with my Mac and every time Mac goes to standby mode, Ghub loses connection to the mouse and I need to exit-relaunch it to be able to use all my custom settings. Gets really annoying sometimes.
GHub is the reason I passed over the Logitech mouse offering. I have a perfectly usable G710+, but it seems GHub doesn't support the G710+ yet and can't be installed alongside LGS. Either a fail by Logitech or, worse, an attempt to force obsolescence/upgrade.
For anyone on the 'Ghub is rubbish wagon', check out Logitech's Onboard Memory Manager. It's basically a barebones mouse config tool. Run the .exe, setup your settings, save to memory, close app. All there is to it.
Ah, never heard of that. Could have been useful, except G710+ (like many Logitech keyboards) doesn't have on-board memory.
Don't get me wrong, would have been happy with either LGS or GHub, if either would have supported both my old KB and new mouse.

Yeah, they have issues with software all the time. Internet is full with people complaining about MX series micro-lags when used with Macbooks, but Logitech gives zero crap about this (one the reasons I moved to wired mouse).

I miss my OG Logitech G5 mouse..
Definitely a great mouse, but too heavy for me these days. Since swapping to a light weight mouse I've had less arm fatigue on long sessions
