This is a great GPS, voice control, blue tooth, traffic and lifetine updates via Garmin til 31 Jan.
The lifetime maps deal I thought had expired, but it's offered by Garmin, it applies here till 31sr Jan. Check the Garmin web site.
Was $260 before Xmas, and $248 at Dick Smith (with a "golf watch") so I think this is a pretty good deal. Much better than Dick Smith's deal in my view, saves trying to sell off a golf watch on ebay with everyone else.

Dick Smith deal is better
'Much better than Dick Smith Deal' - You are kidding right?
Dick Smith will price match for just the unit on its own anyway.
Great GPS by the way, took it for a 2 hour drive on Sat and it picked up every fixed camera and was great to operate!i wouldn't mind the watch, looks good for golf, too bad it doesnt have my local golf course, but a few around it!
Dick SMith deal with watch blows this away…
lifetime maps might be more valuable than a golf watch. depends if you play golf, or know of someone to gift it to.
Dick Smith's deal also has lifetime maps - it's in the catalogue…redeem by 31 January 2012
I agree, DSE deal was better.
Watch RRP $249, sells on ebay for over $150.
Includes lifetime maps and NZ maps.
Sure you can argue that. i couldn't be bothered trying to sell off the watch on ebay with 30-100 others (based on feedback of the DSE deal). Your opinion, but the neg is pretty harsh.
8 Watches with bids on them, average sale price of >$140 and 30 people currently watching the listing I have. Means with very little work, and after a small ebay fee that I get the GPS for around $100, seems like $200 makes it not a better deal at all from HN.
Prices for HN were well discussed in the other post.
After some bargaining I bought mine for $201 at HN.
With or without watch?
Why neg this. If you want to go buy a watch and then sell itoff, go for it. Doesn't make this a bad deal?
If this deal was $100 less or something like that, you may have a point, but you are talking about a $31 saving (for those who do not haggle) The watch does not have to be Ebayed, you could keep it for a pressie for someone you know that plays golf, not a bad gift? You could also put it on Gumtree for $100 and sell it within a day for $0 fees, and the only effort you would have is visiting an Australia Post outlet.
It's OZBargain, and if you haven't noticed, people on here will go to extremes to save/make a dollar, you are preaching to the wrong choir ;)
I'll buy the watch off someone for 50 bucks. Saving u eBay and saving u 20 bucks on this deal!
I'd say this is much worse than the Dick Smith deal. The watch sells for a fair bit and I'm sure you could easily sell it for a lot more than the $30 or so dollars you are saving on this deal. I'd take the Dick Smith one any day assuming you are willing to put up the effort to throw it on eBay and make a trip to the post office.
edit: Looking at completed listings, it looks like most are getting $150+ for the watch. Makes the actual GPS unit close to $100 or so, depending on sale price and eBay fees, after the sale of the watch.
