  • Does it fast charge s21ultra? Cheers !

  • +1

Not the most powerful but it looks pretty compact and the AU adaptor is pretty small.

  • Will be nice if the AU plug is built in

    • +1

Is there any charger with built-in AU plug?

      • +2

Yes Belkin make one, I got it to replace my MacBook 65W charger and its smaller and has an extra USB-C port
        https://www.belkin.com/au/p/P-WCH003/

        • Thanks. I chose to get this one instead.

  • +1

Love the small size. Also very impressed with the other brands that do 130 and 150w and above. Awesome technology packed into a small unit.

    • +1

      incompatible with PPS,SCP

  • +1

This 1 seems better and solid built quality, 18 months warranty as well and important thing is comes with E mark certified cable that works with most laptops( Dell and Lenovo especially) confirmed with seller.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RAVPower-90W-USB-C-PD-3-0-GaN-Wa…

$71.96 with afterpay day sale PAPDY20

    • E-mark isn't a certification - it's a chip inside the cable which allows faster charging and data speeds. I don't believe these are USB-IF certified.

    • 4) Please kindly note that this charger is compatible with Note 10/10+/ Galaxy S20 Ultra, but does not support 25W/45W fast charging as it doesn't have PPS protocol.

    • No pps.

I’ll wait till flights open again. Current price is too expensive.

  • +2

I just bought the same one. Ordered on March 11 and received on the 19 (8 days later) so yeah it's pretty fast by Aliexpress standards!
It's noticeably smaller than other 65W chargers, almost the same size as phone chargers. I haven't used it much yet so I can say about the charging speed.
One drawback could be that when using two USB C ports the power is 30W+30W while other chargers usually do 45W+18W which is more convenient to charge a laptop and a phone at the same time.

If you don't mind a slightly bigger size this one and this one are similar 65W chargers with AU plug and are a bit cheaper.
I have the first one (RockSpace brand) and it can do 45W+18W when using two USB C ports. The cable which comes with it is not very good though.

    • +1

May I ask why you bought the MINIX if you already had a cheaper product that seems to be pretty much the same thing? I actually didn't find either of those two and they both look like great deals!

      • I just needed a second one and I like the smaller size.
Yeah chargers with AU plugs are not easy to find, I had to go through a lot of listings to find those!

    $50, sent from Australia, 2 X USB A, 1 X 100W USB-C PD, 1 X 18W USB-C PD:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284110185968

Only downside, as far as I can tell, is the size.

    • Plus it uses a cable instead of a plug. Not a biggie, but it ends up almost triple the overall size.

      • Good point, but I view that as more of a plus, personally. Don't have to worry about what can fit next to it on the outlet and it extends the cables a bit.

Depends what your use case is, but if your needs are flexible then I think this is the best value for money mentioned so far.

      Not gan.

      • -1

Isn't the only real-world benefit of GaN is that it is usually smaller?

In which case I have already mentioned the downside of size.

Given that this one is the same price for more Wattage and an extra USB-A port, and it's sent from Australia, and it doesn't need a travel adapter (which no doubt adds bulk, negating the benefit of GaN), I think this option was still worth noting.

        • +1

The Minix use the kind of adapter which clips into the folded US prongs. It pretty much doesn't add any bulk. Check the pictures/videos.
And GaN is also supposed to improve efficiency, although I'm not sure if that make a big difference.

          • -1

@lorikeet: I believe the efficiency is what's able to cause the smaller size, so when you get a smaller GaN device then it's no more efficient because the efficiency-for-size trade-off has already been made?

Got this Belkin last week from Myer $62 delivered

    https://www.myer.com.au/p/belkin-bost-charge-dual-usb-c-pd-g…

    • Out of stock, unfortunately.

  • Crap.

Just bought the Baseus GaN2 Pro yesterday, going to use an adapter with it :/

    • Baseus GaN2 Pro

where did you buy it from? and the adapter will ensure PPS?

      • +1

Banggood. Adapter has nothing to do with PPS, it's done thru the charger itself. I have a Xiaomi mi notebook air 12.5 that charges at 45w usb pd. With a US to AU adapter on the end of it.

        • that's great to hear that adapter is working fine with it. previous experience from apple blocking certain chargers got me worried but its all good.

  • +4

Liking the variety of gan chargers popping up!

  • Does it support PPS?

    • I didn't see any mention of PPS on the Minix product description.
This one (AUD $37) claims to support PPS (3.3-11V/5A).

      • +1

One of the customer reviews has a picture showing a Samsung phone super fast charging, and another review shows a picture with a USB power enumerator showing PPS capability.

        • +1

yeah the first review for the MINIX does show that but not the one lorikeet linked (but description does say PPS for the URVNS product).

  • My laptop supports 65w charging via USB C. What’s a good 2m cable that can support that power?

    • The same time I bought this charger, I also got 2x 1m 100w USB-C to USB-C cables here for $16 AUD total. In hindsight I should have gotten 2x 2m ones instead because when I looked up the price for you just now, I realised that for double the length, you'd only pay extra $2 per cable (roughly).

How does it compare to this GaN for $35 ?
