[Resolved] Got Free Box from Hello Fresh, Used Empty Prepaid Gift Card for Payment, Just Sent New Box. What to Do?

Hi everyone,
Needing some of your opinions.

I got one of those free Hello Fresh boxes from the kind people in Classifieds. Made a new Hello Fresh account, and for the payment bit, entered in information for one of my old pre-paid VISA gift cards with a few cents on it.

Got the box last week, ate the meals but I forgot to cancel my account.
I've gotten texts throughout the week saying that they couldn't charge me and that I would need to have a look at it. Dismissed it at the time because I knew it was a throwaway account, and now I've just gotten a text saying that I have another box coming tomorrow.

tldr: Used prepaid gift card for payment, forgot to cancel plan, got sent box, now being sent new box tomorrow

What should I do? I've tried cancelling my account, the cancel meal plan button isn't there in Account Settings.
I also don't want to keep using the service because the prices are absurd.

    Be a good person and pay for the outstanding amount and cancel any further deliveries :)

    Update: Talked to support, successfully deactivated my account but now gotta cough up $109.89.

    sigh

    On the bright side, I have 4 free boxes to give out lol

      Same thing happened to me except I didn’t pay up. The debt collectors eventually gave up and I ended up with 2 free boxes instead of 1 so win win!

        Think I'll play it safe though. Never had debt collectors come after me before, but from what I've heard, they can make a small debt like this sound like it's a billion bucks.

          Yep can adversely affect your credit score so best to be avoided.

    Seems like you got to enjoy a couple of nice "free" boxes for the small sum of $110…probably would have been cheaper to get UberEats…

    I had this happen once. The boxes kept coming week after week. I logged in online and cancelled the plan. Never heard anything since. Did recently get a letter to see if I wanted to sign-up again.
