I just tried to claim my $17 Samsung SSD cashback.
Instead i have spent 2 hours and still have not any closer and i am not the only 1 having a samsung cashback issue.

The serial number i have inputed 100 times trying the serial number on the box and the SSD itself which is slightly different (why in the world did they do this) but nothing works. I even tried removing or adding numbers changing the 0 to o in case the mistake is there to no avail.
It seems the menu system after spending so much time registering your details and address, confirming by email etc is designed to just pause at the serial number stage and not allow you to continue or send the receipt attachment to maybe bypass the serial number error which is not my fault.
The only option you have is open a new window and contact customer support on live chat and verify yourself all over again from the beggining. Who then tell you sorry we cannot help email promotions team which i did and now waiting. Then i found others by googling having the exact same issue as posted above going back well over 1 year and the issue still not resolved.
It does seem samsung has made it so difficult that for a first timer with this issue you will spend a good 1 or 2 hours googling, inputting, contacting that you just wasted well over $17 in your own time to get the $17 samsung SSD cashback.?
I have 2 questions to the community. Does this not constitute a scam if its so time consuming and frustrating to get you waste more of your time than what the cashback is even worth?
And 2 has anybody else had the same issue claiming samsung cashbacks and if yes how much time did you waste claiming the cashback?
Feedback and input is appreciated
.
Let us know what they say then.
Its Samsung, they're really in the game of scams like that. Most likely a backend issue or you didn't but the right product for cash back.
That is the entire point of cashbacks. They make lots of hoops to jump through so you 'give up' or do it later and forget and it works.
So many people buy a product based on the so call saving of the cash back, but then never end up claiming the cashback.
