Cheapest price I could find on this Xiaomi portable air pump. Similar to the popular Xiaomi Mi Portable Air Pump with a few notable improvements. It now has Type-C charging, a battery level indicator showing remaining state of charge and a larger 2600mAh battery. Also has 4 smart modes for different items including bike, motorbike, car & ball. Each mode has a preset pressure value. Simply press the power button to start inflating. It also has a built-in LED light that can be used as a torch or SOS emergency light.

  • Can I use this to blow the air out of my PC Case?

  • +1

Wish I knew this existed, was gutted to get the other one recently and see it had micro USB!!

    • Same, usbc is soo much better

    • Never buy anything with micro USB

  • +2

Didn't even know an updated version existed. Might have to pick one up when my current one gives up!

    • +1

That was too logical… I was going to just buy this one and donate the other one to the dusty cupboard

  • So this will pump car tire faster.

  • +1

Can anyone comment on how hot this gets after a few minutes of continuous use?

    • Not very. I pumped 6 tyres of various sizes (non car) and a couple footballs and there was no perceivable heat.

  • I wouldn’t want to deal with a touch screen in the rain.

Does anyone have experience using any Xiaomi pump on presta valves? Trying to find some info on if compatible and how but not having much luck.

    • +1

It has the attachment for it. But from my past experience with pumps that use these metal attachments - they don't work as well as pumps that are made for both Schraeder and Presta valve types by default. The pressure reading would be inaccurate imo when using the attachment.

    • For this Mojietu model, I read the customer reviews and one guy said (Italian) : "I was unable to inflate the valve, gasket too small ". The photo clearly shows a Presta valve though.

I'm on tubeless and reviews I've seen say the Xiaomi's are almost as slow as a manual floor pump. I love the idea of using this on a ride but it's a hefty unit that takes up a whole bottle cage so maybe only in certain scenarios…

Why would you take this over a CO2 cartridge?

        • I've never had much luck with CO2 heads (for some reason they always leak and I end up with two empty cannisters and a still flat tire. I know, I'm unco) but you're right. More of an at-home luxury for topping up bike tires (or reinflating after using CO2) or if you have a lot of other inflatable objects that need a lot of topping up, but I'm struggling to come up with realistic use cases!

            Fnar, fnar

    • I use it for presta valves and it works fine.

  • Would this be too powerful to inflate a kayak?

    • +1

No, this is suitable for small objects that require a high pressure. It does not produce much volume.

    • +2

The technical answer is Yes. It can produce a much higher PSI than what a kayak needs. But it does not push enough volume, so you will NEVER use it for a kayak in practice.

      • Thank you Donkeyface.

Almost reads as though you swore !

This was on Indiego last year and I was a backer.

My unit works fine but I have also saw comments where there was issues. I believe you can search Indiego for this project to take a look at the comments.

  • Dumb question but will it deflate as well ? So like if you pump up an air mattress can you then suck the air out when you want to put it away rather than waiting for ages for it to deflate …

    • +2

According to reviews it can't be used to deflate

    • You wouldn't want to use this for mattresses anyway as it's designed for high pressure, not high volume.

You can get a battery powered inflator/deflator for $25 though (also great for force feeding the campfire a bit of oxygen)

      • Sounds like a great way to get the fire going :)

  • Does this do car tyres?

    • Yes. Inflating a car tyre from 0 to 32PSI takes 9 minutes.

      • I was more interested about the time from 32-40 psi

  • The coupon makes the price go up! WTF

    • Incorrect, price is US$48.73 before coupon and US$47.73 after coupon. When you apply coupon the order total reverts to full price before applying coupon discount. Total or final payment is still the discounted price of US$47.73
