Do they use Samsung components?
I hope not, my bin is full.
Just to provide some back-story, my comment was meant in reference to Kogan, who advertise that their products contain Samsung components. Samsung allegedly sent them a "cease and desist", not wanting that association.
I heard DSE tv aren't that good
They vary from excellent to garbage… they are rebranded tvs from all over so will be different from model to model.
We have a couple of their 19" ($150) sets with built in dvd players and they are brilliant.
I did purchase another one late last year that they had on special.. dse brand but with no dvd player and took it back.. it was poor indeed.
The deal posted here looks great… LED + FHD + 32" @ $299 … +++
Anyone know what the actual TV dimensions are (without the stand)? More specifically, the width of the TV?
Also from the FAQ on the DSE site, this tv is 50Hz.
I bought this tv on boxing day when it was 350, haggled the saleswoman down to 320 then used my woolies 5% discount card to get it for 304. Well I'm kicking myself now.
Anyways I have been using this tv as a computer monitor everyday since. And for a budget tv it seems to be great quality. Very sharp reading text.. The 50hz refresh rate isn't too noticeable and seems fine for games.
The sales rep said this panel was made at the same factory as the current bravias so I assume it's a samsung. Anyways for the price I'd recommend it and if you go instore make sure you haggle a bit as they are more prone to taking 15 or so bucks off being their own product.
Next step for me. Go get it cheaper then take it back with the old receipt
I saw HN have the Palsonic 31.5" for $199 today but not LED and not Full HD.
