I feel for you. When the deal says storewide it should mean storewide but the deal also mentions it excludes clearance items.
@voteoften - Sorry to hear that you experienced some problems with the shopping cart. If you have already registered for an account, then try logging in first before you start shopping. We are aware of this problem although it seems to be only intermittent. If you recall the steps taken, please send us an email so we can get our web company to look into it. Thanks
@rack - Many of our Clearance items are already marked down to 50-80% off (some below and near cost price) so we simply can't offer further discount with the coupon code. We apologise for a technical glitch with the coupon code at the moment discounting all items so we had to move some accessories to the Sale section as a workaround. We have notified our web company on this but given the holiday period, it will take some time to resolve it. Thanks

That is quite a few exclusions.
Also, some items in clearance are less than 50% off, a good way to quarantine stuff you don't want to discount.
I am not going to email you with my steps taken. If you know this is a problem, why don;t you put up a notice when someone puts stuff in their cart? I was not registered and went through the trouble of registering only to have my take sucked away from me by having to go through and find those items again to add to the cart. Not a good way to impress new customers. The more they wanted to buy, the more time you stole from them.
Stealing my time makes this an anti-bargain.
@voteoften - The problem with the emptying of the shopping cart has been reported to our web company previously but since it is only an intermittent problem, they were unable to reproduce and fix the problem yet. Hence, we would would appreciate anyone who had experienced the problem to contact us with the steps that they have taken which might have caused the empyting of the cart. On the same note, many of our customers have not had that problem that you reported.
All merchants have their discretionary rights and reasons for discounting and excluding certain items on discount. It is understood that Gift Vouchers are treated as cash and Gift wrapping as a service hence they are usually exempted from discounts. We also cannot offer discount on certain products due to contractual agreements with our suppliers.
We understand that you have many choices when it comes to shopping and we are sorry to hear that you feel this offer is an anti-bargain in your opinion.
Added items to cart. Wasted time signing up and then it emptied my cart. Had to go find items again. They have put some items in the sale area with less than 50% discount or no discount at all. Coupon code not valid on these, even though it is 50% off sitewide.
This site is a waste of time. poorly done and not good value, IMO. Really cross about them emptying my cart.
