I don't think so - it says "Hot Offer"
Anyone used the Accor cards? Found any exemptions or issues with them?
Accor cards can only be used with public rate hotel room bookings
probably not as good if you get discounts or cashbacks from room booking websites like hotels.com, agoda or booking.com
besides, to use the giftcard seems you need to call the hotel to notify them you are using the giftcard
doesn't sounds great to me with only 8% saving from official hotel rate
However, the GC can also be used on restaurants in the hotel:
Any available remaining balance on the Card can then be used towards payment or part-payment of the
Holder’s room account, including in-house restaurant dining, or other incidental food and
beverage charges, however no change will be given for the unused balance of the Card.
Here is the T&C:
Valid for 36 months from date of issue at participating hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. AccorHotels Gift Card credit is redeemable only for public accommodation rates. This card MAY NOT be used in conjunction with Accor Plus or Accor Vacation Club rates or benefits or with contracted, negotiated, third party online rates, or package rates with components provided by third parties. For more information on terms and conditions please refer
Accor Plus gets at least 10% off booking. I’d recommend looking into the program if you’re regularly at Accor properties instead.
How do you access these deals? I have a suncorp account and the app but can't find it
Its under Suncorp app "Rewards" section
same place to purchase discount giftcards
I'm not seeing anything called "rewards" and I have signed in to my account.. all I see is products and offers…
Suncorp have two apps - at least on Google Play Store they do. If you have an Android phone, the one you're after is Suncorp App.
@mastablasta: Thanks. I didn't realise Suncorp has 2 separate apps. I have bee using banking app that's why I couldn't find it
@lunartemis: Yes it's a bit weird how they do that. Must be two different business units with competing needs so they just decided to build and support two apps lol
You need to call/register online for it. I guess it takes couple of days. Not sure though.
@ashftc: All good. After downloading the Suncorp app (not the banking), it automatically recognise the banking app and signed me in after security measures.
Prices at BCF seem highly inflated. I recently purchased an ice box closer at Tent World for $20 which was also the price quoted from the manufacturer. BCF price was $36.
Bcf pretty much always expensive. Camp chairs for $150 that were $55 at Bunnings
BCF have a price match policy. Just ask them to price match then use your discounted gift cards. Winning.
Are these offers available for Suncorp bank account?
Yes, if you have a bank account, they should send you an email to give you access to the Benefits program.
I wonder when they will rise the Woolworths and Coles giftcards back to 5% discount. At 3% they are not really worth the trouble when you can get 2% back from HSBC paywave with no effort.
Thank you for saying this. I felt the same,
I did this years ago when they offered 5% off suoercheapauto cards. I bought $1,000 worth. Used the cards when engine oil was like 40% off. I bought three.boot loads of engine oil. I still have 10 oil changes to go beforei use them up lol
Any advise where to buy Wish gift cards with 5% off as Cashrewards stopped selling them?
You'll be hard-pressed to find WISH gift cards at 5% off these days, but a good starting point would be to check this page.
Flarehr or nsw seniors have them if you’ve got access (or know someone who does)
I couldn't get the app to work, it couldn't find my policy (in company name). But I do have a Shannon's login and that did work to link the policy and from the login I can access "Suncorp Benefits" … previously I could not add the policy to my online login at Shannons, but they must have changed something.
Any idea if this is permanent? 10% off is a pretty good deal, particularly if you stack it with some of their big specials.
