i saw it at the city westfield in sydney just wondering where can i get a sofa like that? or what is the name of these type of sofas? are they expensive?

You could try something like these:

The long "bench" part that sticks out from some lounges is called a chaise, you might have some luck looking under that name.
Also, you could just ask at centre management at Westfield where they got theirs :)
You'd be best off looking up commercial furniture suppliers, ie those who supply offices and public spaces rather than domestic (home) furniture stores.
Sorry I don't know sydney at all, but i do know that there are a number of companies in melbourne who sell on used office furniture. I's say your best bet would be to try a search along those lines.

Hardly a sofa. It is called an "uphostered bench". You can get them in almost every modern furniture store. I don't know enough about retailers to be able to quote you prices
