      • I think that might be the point. Both have excellent build quality and 10 year warranty.

    P850GM is being investigated by Gamers Nexus for it catching fire/smoking.

  • The RMx 750w has been running my 3080 rig perfectly. Fan barely ever spins either.

  • The issue with the Modular power supply is that you will be paying a hefty premium. I have the RM550X ($139 delivered at Amazon) and ended up using all the cables. There is a Corsair non-modular 80+ 550W power supply for $57 at Amazon

  • RM 750x excellent PSU. 0RPM fam is excellent at deciding when it needs to be on versus when it should be dead quiet.

      Wouldn't case fans be louder than this anyway? I often see the hybrid fanless mode talked about, but must say I'm not sure I understand the point if other fans in your system will be louder anyway. Do people have systems requiring a 750W PSU where under light load there are no fans spinning anywhere?
