    People are willing to pay $1000+ on feeBay for one of these. A seller sold it for $900 and received a positive feedback.

    So yes, there are still scalpers.

    However, there are also people screwing around with scammers:

    Pictures of the console with starting bid of $700…. That's a scam.

    $15,500.00 - won by a bidder with 0 feedback. No way that bidder will pay and the seller will need to cancel transaction. Lucky the winning bidder did that. It looks like there were people who were gullible.

      Or a case of bidding by the seller using another account in hopes of bumping the price.

        It's more likely someone was being nice and completely sabotaged to prevent people failed to realise that auction is a scam. You can download PS5 photos from the Internet for free.

        You can tell the winning bidder was onto that scammer and targeted his dodgy items.

    Friend got 2 orders delivered last week and couldn’t cancel. Stuck one on Gumtree for $800 thinking that was reasonable to cover delivery and time ($750 RRP), was offered multiple $900+ offers within minutes and eventually ended up selling it to someone who picked it up for $1,000 in North Sydney.

    Imagine selling something for MORE than you offered it on Gumtree. Pure insanity.

      Suprisingly that's still the going price currently. I thought it would've come down with the recent batches but looks like stock is hard to come by - or I probably should say that people are not going through the effort of going on JB's waitlist or seeing the twitter updates/stock alerts and instead paying the premium

    I spoke to Target yesterday, and they advised that they (digital, at least) should be available to collect by Thursday.

    Fingers crossed.

    Edit: Obviously you pickup location may vary.

  Actually my order status has changed from ‘packing your order’ to ‘shipping to your store’.
