    • I think the problem is people who DON'T drink coke, many (like me) refuse to because of the caffeine. In which case, this promotion is rather cruel, it is tempting us to drink coke regularly just for the small possibility of getting a phone.

        but there is not even much caffeine in a normal coke. I am immune to caffeine anyway, doesnt effect me one bit.

        Wait… So using that logic, this (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/59384) promotion is cruel to alcoholics or non-drinkers since it's tempting you to drink beer just to save money on petrol?

      • You could buy the bottles of coke for someone else close who actually drinks it but they must give you the codes ;-) At less than $200 for enough codes for the phone - you still save a small fortune! (4 bottles for $7 at franklins)

      but coke zero does according to the "how it works" page - "Codes are easy to find. Just pick up any specially marked 450mL or 600mL, 1.25L, 1.5L or 2L PET bottle of Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero or Diet Coca-Cola and you'll find a unique character code behind the label."

I was stuck on 912 points, could not enter any more codes last night (10 per week limit) and I thought I would have to wait until Monday to enter more, but just entered 9 more codes and it worked, WOHOO! So if you are close to 1000 points, enter more codes now and get your free phone ;)

    This has got to be up there amongst the better deals this year (think about it!) yet it's had over 3500 clicks, but only 52+ votes. If I could vote for it twice I would - it was never going to show up in the general listings there, so well spotted, nb85

    If you have a look at the rewards, they still list the Sony Ericcson Xperia Arc for 1125 tokens, and the Sony Ericcson Xperia Play for the same amount.

    Strangely, these are followed by "The Sims 3 Late Night Expansion Pack" for 1250 tokens. Who does their conversion rates? The Sims 3 will cost you 2000 tokens.

    • These are sold out. How about the G-shock for 4980 points, compared to 1900 points for $200 worth of gift vouchers that would buy one easy.

  • How does the referral work? People have said just sign up with different email addresses however on the referral page it states you only receive your bonus points when your friend "enters a code". Doesn't this defeat the purpose of signing up with multiple accounts?

    • You get 20 points for a referral when they enter a code worth 10 points. Not really worth the trouble unless ur short of a reward that is about to sell out. Is the only way to get more than the capped 100 points per week.

      • Well actually, that's a great way to double your points and get around the 100 per week limit… Would make more sense to use a referral for every code in that case!

          You can get a maximum of 500 points for referrals and they credit to your account overnight. Just a bit of work involved ie, setting up 25 email accounts, making 25 referrals then opening 25 coke unleashed accounts.
          If you are redeeming for a gift voucher for $50 for 225 credits then you need 12 referrals (each then worth $4.17 each)take out $1.75 for the coke purchase = 2.42. So you make 2.42 each time you go through the referral process.

          Assuming you can complete the whole referral process in 5 minutes, you could make $29 an hour in gift vouchers. (no paid leave or super on that though).
          You would need add time collecting or purchasing and peeling the bottles though. I would estimate a minimum 5 minutes per bottle so halve your $29 an hour to $14.50, now you are working under the minimum wage.

  • Each referral must enter a code. That means you're splitting your codes if you create dummy referrals. The only benefit is if you've passed the weekly cap.

      • Yes, you get 20 but lose 10 from using the code on the dummy account.

      I am at 2200 (dont drink the stuff [except with rum], but do the recycling at work, so just pull the labels off them).

    • Free postage. I wouldn't count on it being released that often.. probably good cheap things come once in every 6 months… but that's enough time to get a buttload of tokens and perhaps buy more than just 1. Just keep saving, and if you're not really spending extra money to get it (either by collecting labels when you see 'em, or if you regularly drink 10 bottles a week anyway), then I think it becomes worth it in the end.

    • I emailed them and they said that it would be delivered within 2 weeks once the status changes.
      (Fulfilled to me means finished so I thought it has been sent out and collected by someone else.)

  • Hey I got an Cokeunleashed email today….not about the phone…..just wondering if this is a sign a NEW BIG item will be released?

    • What did the email entail? Upcoming double points? I myself am saving up to hit the 1000 points (a bit off). Worried that they will advertise a good item, like this phone and either I won't have enough points or that it will be ~2000 points.

    • Their Friday giveaways are ending soon, so after that it'll be a different set of rewards again - possibly. I myself have just a bit over a thousand points again, but I wouldn't hold my breath because they could release rewards that are 1500 to 2000 or more points. I think it's just a matter or saving up points and being at the right place at the right time.

      • Thanks for the reply! As you stated, I think the upcoming rewards may require more points. Quite difficult for myself obtaining these points. Was one to avoid soft drinks, then this promotion came around :(

  • Hi guys I'm another same person that is still waiting for this phone its been nine weeks for me aswell and I'm pissed off why the hell its taking to much time. I kept sending complaint emails they alright yeah give me 30 tokens but waiting patiently almost gave up and they tell its going to be delivered 10 woking days every time i email them.
    i know you guys are in the same position just don't know what to do then wait.

  • Seems they have updated their rewards but nothing in the value of these phones. Plus with the problems you are all having in receiving the phones from the last time they were on offer, I doubt Coke will offer rewards like this again.

    Beginning to wonder what the worst case scenario is.. can they actually just cancel it? Coz really, I'd rather the phone than a thousand tokens. :P

  • I'm starting to doubt they have any phones in stock. I redeemed some Westfield gift cards around Christmas last year and they arrived in 8 weeks. The Cokeunleashed website states that the gift cards will be valid for a year from the Dec 11 to Dec 12, but when I actually got them, it said they were valid from Feb 12 to Feb 13. Which means they were purchased in Feb 12.

    The cards got to me in 3 business days (from them sending out, to me receiving). Suppose the phones were sent out a week or 2 ago, it would've gotten to us by now no matter what. So I'm guessing:

    They currently have no stock/waiting on them to arrive/waiting for the phone to drop in value so they can ship them out to us.

    or worst case scenario, they will just refund the points to us.

    Prepared to wait a little while longer guys. :(

  • I'm also then wondering about the Sony Ericson phones they had, the one with the playstation thingie on it and the arc.. any way of finding out if any of those phones made it to their owners yet? Considering they were released and sold out a good 2 weeks before the HTC's were.

  • Phone's in! But in a sad, sad state. So it's just the HTC Sensation XL by its own, AND, it's locked to vodafone. However you can have it unlocked for free, by visiting their website. The other rather ANNOYING matter is… there's no Beats by Dre. The letter says:

    "Please be advised that we were unable to fulfill your order for the 'Beats by Dre' Headphones due to HTC/Vodafone running out of stock. In its place we have sent you the attached ATH-WS55i Solid Bass Stereo Headphones from Audio-Technica to enjoy with your HTC Sensation XL handset.

    We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause."

    So there. Looked it up, you can get the headphones for 84 dollars online. PFFFFFTTT. I was looking forward to rocking those white beats headphones.

    So the question now is… is it a complainable reason? Maybe even for token refunds? I'm still trying to find the RRP of these headphones. And second… maybe the ones who get the phone 3 weeks from now may have the beats headsets with it - in a way I'm not sure if I'd rather have waited for that. So I need to hear from the others please when you receive yours in the mail. Anyone else get this Audio-Technica?

  • I received the HTC Sensation XL today. I hadn't sent them any emails, I was just following this thread and waiting for it to arrive. Same situation as ranma, No Beats by Dr Dre, just the audio-technica headphones. I ordered just after Midnight on NYE and I'm in Sydney.

  • I just received my phone along with AT-WS55i headphones and an apology letter marked on 9 March 2012. I have sent a complaint email to them, will let you know their responses later.

    • Just got my phone and received Solid Bass headphones as well.

      I really wonder if anyone at all got Dr Dre Beats headphones. When I rang up asking why it was late they just said it will ship within 10 days, they should've warned me then. Instead I get a letter saying here are you inferior headphones. My favourite part of the letter is. "Don't forget - there's a lot more where this came from."

  • Got my phone today and also got the inferior headphones. Rang Cokeunleashed straight away to complain as this is not what I ordered. The lady took my details and said she would send the complaint through to the appropriate person. No way am I just accepting this!

  • Just got mine today and got the beats earphones. They sound ok but they feel cheap and nasty.

        What size of memory did you get? Mine is showing up with 7.91gb available. I thought the smallest Sensation was 16gb!

        I've installed a custom Rom and have v4.0.3, much nicer to use than the default one.

    Same here, my available memory is less than 8GB as well. That 16GB was for the whole phone, not all of them accessible to use, only 12.64GB accessible for us to use.

    • So it is a 16gb phone but it's partitioned 8gb OS and 8gb User data?

      Not really any point in returning it for ur points back as (I'm guessing) they won't be doing anything like this again to spend ur points on.

        • I just emailed them and said it took them 74 days from order to deliver something that I didnt order.
