    I believe these are used for point to point wireless connections (and not as an access point to connect your devices to). Similar to ubiquiti ptp devices. I could be wrong, didn't do much research. I came across the link randomly when searching for wemos micro controllers.

      It has got several modes. It can to point to point. Can act as a repeater, AP and even a wireless adapter.

      It's a very directional panel type antenna, mostly useful as as 1 side of a wireless link. It probably has no use to you in a home situation
