    Virgin seem to only offer a $29 dongle with 30day/400MB. Hope they'd do better for $49 which may be old packs with more data.

    I believe some other ppl have mentioned liveconnected works on this (liveconnected using optus network). May want to troll through some of the comments on previous LG Optimus 1 deals/threads.

    Good deal - I bought one for $99 flat from DSE . no dongle - these things are getting cheaper and cheaper

    If you want to get unlock codes, You can pick them up from ebay for $2-3 .

      Yes but does this pair require the owner to keep TWO (2) SIM's alive?!?

      Using 3, we've seen folks use 1 SIM for 1 phone+data account (not 2), thereby saving $$$.

      This may be more costly… Why pay more? For an old Android phone w/ 3.2" screen?

      Maybe get a tablet.

    If an Optus prepaid SIM works, then use the Woolworths plan. Same thing but much cheaper.
    (Unlike Virgin, which is a different virtual network, but same towers.)

  If it is the p500 which I think it is - upgrading to gingerbread unlocks them. And i think the dongle would come with 4gb / 30 days - thats what the last one I bought had

      I asked a Virgin staff when I got my iphone last year just b4 my holidays and he said that Virgin would unlock it no worries if I was to need it for overseas usage (no fees). Worth a try and ask b4 u buy.

        i unlocked my iphone 4 on launch day, just say you are going overseas. it is in their policy that they give you free unlcks anyway

        I wouldn't bank on Virgin doing free unlocks for A PREPAID phone like this one. Even if you do claim to be going overseas. Ask BEFORE you buy.

  I got one of these today at Big W in Epping. The lady at the counter didn't know about the deal, so needed to talk to the manager about it. The dongle is normally $50.
