    generally speaking, yes. its better than the bundled cooler - it really depends on ur use case. if ur gonna fiddle and try and optimize your CPU, then the cooler you can get it the better.

    so basically, if you just plan to run the CPU as intended out of the box, even the stock cooler would suffice. might not be the quietest or coolest, but you aren't damaging the cpu or anything.

    Buy a snowman CPU cooler (6 heatpipe version) with no fan, then buy a delta 120mm 3000rpm pwm fan from eBay or whatever.

  Cheapest that cooler has ever dropped to is $33.99 on Amazon so if you are in the market for a new case and want a free cooler this isn't too bad. Just had a quick glance at it, its a solid upgrade on the wraith cooler if you have an AMD set up. I don't have an intel set up so I can't comment.

  For me, I need a new case and the cooler is a bonus.
