ShopBack Rejected from Flash Sale November 11 Sale

Made various big orders with aliexpress during November 11 Aliexpress flash sale last year. They had a bonus for a larger percentage. All the transactions tracked. I bought everything in seperate orders as I had some very expensive items, aswell as cheap items. They have been pending since last year, I logged in today and they are all rejected. I had to put in a claim with aliexpress for some of the cheap items that were about $3-4 but the order where I got $5, $20 cashback has been rejected also.

Has anyone had this happen with shopback?

    Just looked and yep, both rejected. Pretty shit. I mainly just use cash rewards now unless they offer nothing.

    • How did it go? After resetting and timeframe given was the 12 March, it has been rejected again for me.

      • I just sent them an email. It's only $2.50~ so I'm not really bothered.

    I have one in pending still, apparently 26th i'll find out - will be pissed by the sounds of it.

    i don't really want to add my withdraw details until i actually want to withdraw, does this mean i won't get my bonuses until i add them? what if there's an expiry they're not telling me about?

    I stopped using shopback after a few of these issues. Tried to follow up/appeal as well to no avail. Just go with cash rewards.

  • It also happened to me. They rejected all my 11.11 cashback(4 of them). I spent a lot of time fixing the issue.
    They rejected 4 of them and recovered only 3. I sent many e-mails but they said only 3 purchase history on their system.
    I was lucky to have a screenshot of the Cashback list otherwise I couldn't get it back. Feeling like talking to the wall to explain the same thing over and over.

      • For me, after sending a request they put my cashback to my account but as I explained above. If I don't have screenshots I couldn't get them back

    Just checked mine and they have all been rejected too, I’ve emailed them, will follow up if I get anything back.

      • So far got nothing back, they said they'll get to me as soon as they hear anything about it. One of my other ones got cancelled which was $15 from Tobydeals, all they asked for was shipping confirmation. I might send them off a barrage of emails with all the shipping confirmation and see what response i get.

      • Another update. I sent through all the screenshots of the delivery confirmation for all my orders and it’s all resolved now.

    Will never use shopback again if its not resolved and also make sure the people I referred know too. Never trusted them quite as much as cashrewards who are always great to deal with but I will wait and see, could just be a glitch but I hope it can be sorted!

    • The fact its happened to many as stated on here, hopefully would imply to them that its some kind of glitch on their end so hopefully more likely to sort it. I remember it took a long time to track, and some people were woried.

        just sent them an email with the screenshot I took after paying in the app, and the finished orders status. Man, so annoying that this keeps happening I didnt even think to scroll back that far to check.

        • I almost forgot about it. Its hard to remember it all when you have been buying lots on both cashrewards and shopback. it was right down the bottom. I knew some might be rejected as I had to put a few claims in, but now lots are having the same issue probably nothing to do with that.

    Had a shopback worth $25 cb credit get denied of uniqlo. Trying to reason just gets met with automatic responses. Quite annoying.

    my orders were rejected as well. (flashback sale).. raised ticket with support see what comes of it.

    Hi all, thanks for your patience and for expressing your concerns here, and apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused.

    Just to update here - yes an error has happened here which has caused many of the AliExpress Flash Sale transactions to be incorrectly rejected. The issue should now be corrected and the statuses of such transactions should be back to "Pending" now. The statuses will update accordingly once these transactions are properly validated by AliExpress.

          Its not resolved. I waited for the time frame specified and its now rejected them again! I feel this is just a delay tactic!

        • I have supplied orders and invoices. Items have not changed from rejected on their own.

  • They usually just reject the big ones for me and allow all the $1 amounts. Very dodgy company.

  • They rejected all purchases again after the timeframe! I feel the whole experience of trying to rectify it was a delay tactic! Really getting annoyed now. How is everyone else going with getting their cashback?

      Just checked mine, was previously pending after gotyourbacks update, now rejected again. But I emailed them when this post came out, this week Alana has emailed me 2x to say they are still looking into it

      • Thanks, they told me the same too. I don't mind waiting as-long as it is resolved but I don't want them to come back in 6 months time and say it is too late.

          Just frustrating that they addressed the issue, and then the exact same thing happens again? Doesn't really inspire confidence.

          • @MeesusEff: True. I had heard these stories but had mostly good experiences until this. I will definitely be sticking with cashrewards in future as I dont think this would happen, and when things do go wrong they are great at sorting things.

    I saw the same, rejected. Reached out to SB help via chat, they helped to add it back as a top-up.

  • ShopBack is dodgy as hell. I'm surprised the ACCC hasn't open a case against them. I suppose it is only a matter of time.

  • Its all sorted now! The support staff at shopback have been quite helpful. Just wanted to post that although I was woried I wouldn't get it resolved I did in the end so they did try their best to resolve the situation!
