Great price, albeit lacking local Samsung warranty

Edit: Updated Price. Previously it was using my $20US gift card and reducing the price further.

Reductions on BT and other 41mm models as well. ~US$150 off across each variant. Discount % varies from model to model.

Amazon has also dropped the price of the Galaxy Watch Active 2

  • Has the ECG & BP been actived for Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 & Active 2 in AU?

    • Not yet.

      • since this is US version to should work i guess.

        • It may but I would hold off until it's launched locally. Although new version of watch coming in August

        • ECG & BP requires the Samsung Health app to be loaded in your phone to work. The app isn't available in Australia as of now (expected soon). However, as mentioned below, there are guides to get it working in Australia online.

    • There are guides online that show how to unlock the ECG and BP functions of the watch for Australia.

    • actually it is available according to samsung

      • That's My BP Lab, not from Samsung. Very hard to use and requested lots of personal information.

  • +3

Not sure if this will work with Au mobile networks (LTE bands) and No Samsung pay and finally as mentioned no local warranty, I would avoid. there are many on Marketplace that can grab for cheap.

    • If Samsung pay doesnt work, you can just rely on Google Pay though?

      • wish there is Google apps on galaxy watches

      • Hey mate, Google Pay isn't available on Samsung watches they have Samsung Pay as the alternative.

        • Damn, was not aware of that. Just checked the list of supported banks and mine isnt on there. DOH. I really wanted this watch.

          • @nedski: That's a bummer you can sign up to a neo bank like Up! For electronic payments if you need they work with Samsung Pay fyi.

            • @Draco: Oh man, I cant read. Bank Australia is listed as a Samsung Pay provider. Cool!

    • Have the Watch Active 2 - US version ordered from Amazon. Can confirm Samsung Pay works in Australia with local cards.

      • nice, Thanks for confirming.

    • You're right. This model sm-r845uzkaxar only work with these bands: B2(1900), B4(AWS), B5(850), B12(700), B13(700), B25(1900), B26(850), B66(AWS-3), B71(600)。It seems only Vodafone had B5 band working.

  • My experience with Amazon US warranty is really good. I bought a Neato and return shipping was like $120 and it still went smoothly and I rate it much higher than a lot of local warranty i.e thebadguys

    • had the worst experience with TGG lately, they sent me wrong item and i had to pay for the return package cost (buying envelope).

  • Fairly sure this was US$276 yesterday.

    Edit : Maybe not LTE?

  • Doesn't samsung products have international warranty?

  • Can anyone confirm if you can use the US version LTE in Australia? Im ok with using vodafone, but would be nice to know if someone has it working here.
