Plastic ones are made in Aust but glass ones are made in China
I prefer glass and Non MIC, Pyrex would be a better optionpyrex lid is useless, after a few use, it will become soft and loose its shape and become quite leaky.
How does it go soft? Are you microwaving it?
(I always serve into bowl/plate and microwave there)
Microwave the container and simply cover the top with a sheet of kitchen paper towel. Never microwave with the lid and it will last indefinitley.
i need to store fresh cooked food into glasses containers, therefore heat from the food soften up the lid in a matter of weeks of usage. on the other hand, decor brand glass container's plastic lid never loose its shape. you can see how thin the pyrex lid is.
@Diesmile: Ah - don't know abut the pyrex ones as we only use the decor containers at home (because it goes on sale at Woolies all the time), heat from cooked food is fine but the lid will soften in the microwave.
slap in the face after they ran out of containers for their promo leaving me with all these points I can't even redeem for seeds
Yeah, those container points, didn't get to claim any — just a waste, you don't shop for those credits, ever, if you happen to get enough credits, it's a bonus. Wish they would just give us fair and decent pricing without the rotten gimmicks.
Yeah we didn't chase the points, only ended up with 24 points so only had enough for 1 of the smaller ones but they didn't have any and refused to give us a 25/30 point container. Tried two different stores.
Very store dependent. My local has boxes of them after the end of the credits.
Two of my local Woolies had the containers at the weekend, we used our 41 points on the biggest container.
Did they have the 20 point ones though
I think they had a selection, my wife chose so I didn't really look.
IKEA has cheap containers too.
