  For all those who are facing errors! please try this method also!!!
  Please try these in order:
  1. clear browser cookies
  2. create new email id on any email service (gmail, yahoo etc.)
  3. create a new amazon ID with this new email
  4. Search Google to get a genuine US address
  5. for putting CC info use fakenamegenerator.com (you may need to try a couple of times to get a genuine CC number)
  6. Now go to your amazon account settings and click on 1 click settings, there make you shipping address and CC number as defaults.
  7. Download Amazon Appstore app from the link given on abtevrythng page
  8. login with your amazon app from mobile and you're done!

        sorry i wasnt clear, I was thinking whether you can have two amazon acc on the same phone, where each account "purchased" a bunch of apps…

      yeah I got the same problem…. the real scary thing is that if you un-install the Amazon app to try and re-install, the other apps you download from Amazon previously won't work.. Soo when I did this and I quickly worked out that my "Seal" app (patten lock to certain apps, i.e. "settings") wouldn't work.. so I couldn't use programs like ASTRO to find the instail file… luckly! the internet wasn't the pattern locked so I could download the Amazon app to have my apps work again..

      The lesson of this story is if you need to un-instail Amazon app make sure you can work the phone without the apps from Amazon…

        So after you reinstall Amazon app and logged in with a new amazon id, were you still able to use those apps you've downloaded using your original amazon id?

    I previously had a working amazon app store but about a week or two ago It began stopping before the download commenced. I just tried again now and it says not available in my region. I'll check my amazon credentials and make sure they're still all US based…

    Could they have finally implimented an IP region check?

    EDIT: Yup - still all US. Not sure what's changed. If I created a new fake account, like Chongy288 above, I'm worried my currently installed Amazon apps will stop working. Also I can't move my existing amazon apps over to the new account.

    EDIT 2: Done a bit of research - seems you need to sign up with your account using a US proxy now. I'll give that a try

    If you want a genuine US address, may I suggest comgateway or borderlinx (works for UK as well), they'll provide you with your own address (like a PO box) and will even receive and onship goods to you (at a fee of course), I use it for my second amazon account and for game registrations (betas etc)

      I got it working using the {us} tip. I also generated a new CC number so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

      good tip there, thanks - followed instructions on the xda post and configured the appstore to use the proxy. No other changes required

      so 'modtang' and 'fattyboombatty', is it still the same account ur using? (ie all of your pre-purchased apps are still available?). I'm thinking that it is the same account, but just wanted to be sure.

      I too had it working fine untill a couple of days ago when i started getting 'The Amazon appstore is not available in your region'

  Just to let you guys know! The instructions are updated on the workaround page, It seems to me that the issues are now resolved.

  if you want to keep using OLD amazon account, you can get a app called "free proxy" for android and use the browser to go to amazon.com -> FULL site -> and find the daily free app and purchase it through the free proxy .
