Thanks Op, have been looking for a car laptop charger for some time.

  • Thanks op! Ordered one.

    Thanks OP, Nice finding

  • Macbook?

    • I think Apple makes them. Officeworks sells them.

    • Should've thought of that before buying apple

  • No Surface Connect?
Actually I don’t think this would even charge my Book 2
I’ve tried 90w chargers and they rarely work

    • Surface Book 2 charger is like 102W, so this probably won't charge it sufficiently.

      • Surface book 2 (i have 15") can charge off my surface go charger(24W), but will drain the battery under heavy load (gaming etc). Actually Surface book will drain battery on 102W charger also. Surface book 3 and surface dock 2 come with a 120W power supply.

        • Never used mine on a Go's charger, but I imagine it'd be amazingly slow. The original dock was pitiful in its power output, and they finally made one (dock 2) with adequate power. Only took like how many years?

  • Got one, thanks OP

No reviews, still got one… will see if it works for my Dell laptop. Thanks Op.

    • Would be interested if it did. I know that a few years back, the generics would only power a laptop, but it wouldn't charge the battery. Good luck to you.

  • nil stock —-rhubarb—

  • Sweet, pretty much the same price as the unbranded stuff off eBay I was thinking about buying.

  • Thank you! Just ordered one.

  • done, needed this as I am waiting for my replacement laptop charger

You do know this is for your car 12V socket charger correct? It will need an extra adapter if it is going to be used from an AC outlet.

i know, using the car port is fine

  • +1

The voltage provided is 19.5 V.

    • I would worry about using a car charger on my expensive laptop.

This one is decent quality from a reputable brand. I would, however, worry about using those no-name eBay ones

        • +1

I bought one of those crappy ebay one and the car charger adapter burned with smoke coming out after my 2nd use.

It's worth checking if your laptop is supported here:

  • Seems out of stock now

  • Grabbing one of the last 3 of these at officeworks Aspley today! Thanks OP.

  • back in stock - was able to place an online click & collect order in Sydney

Many stores are out of stock - there are some still which show as limited stock - but allow you to place an order.

Still available for c&c in some stores

  • If anyone around 2747 wants to pick it up you can take mine for the $20 as I just realised it doesn't support Type-C charging which is what my laptops use.

Otherwise I will keep it in the car for the day I need to charge my work laptop that I never take with me.
