Seemed like a good price so though I would share. I grabbed one for the front garden, haven't owned this model but bought the fast cart for my parents a while ago and they love it. After sales service from this company is great too - HozeLock helped after a part was missing, posting us the part for free. This model looks like it can either be freestanding or mounted depending on your preference. For $25 metres of hose this is a very good price compared to Bunnings (was looking at over $120ish when I was there yesterday for something similar).

Quick look at the camels suggests this is normally this price but typically goes out of stock very fast. Note that Amazon says ' Usually dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks. '

Enjoy.

    Is this auto rewinding?

  • +1

according to the Bunnings reviews, it comes unassembled and the instructions are poor…

  • Are the manual ones more reliable than auto? My dad picked up an auto one from aldi a little while ago and it broke the first day of use, most likely extended the hose too much and it wouldn’t retract.

He opened it up to try fix it and parts went flying!

    • The Aldi one wasn’t Hozelock

      • +1

Not sure why the neg, Aldi's Brand is Gardenline, no comparison to Hozelock

    • Hope so, I had one of the Kogan ones and had the same experience hence giving manual a go. Presuming it has less moving parts

  • Not auto retracting. Yep Bunnings has lots of products on ‘special order’, personally I’ve never had any success with it. First time I got a cheap Pelican case that they didn’t honour and next a shower tap assembly also on OzBargain that has never come - I’ve had to open a PayPal case and still haven’t heard anything. Be very wary of special order - at least Amazon will get you your product or refund.

You opened up a PayPal case against bunnings?

      • Indeed, I guess if you buy online you can pay by PayPal and I did. Not sure what will happen - since I haven’t received any product or response hopefully a refund.

Fair enough, wouldve thought the first port of call would be bunnings. Never had issues with refunds.

So it's Hozelock the best brand when it comes hoses? Hozelock > Holman > Nylex

    • +1

Hoselink > Everything else is the general consensus here usually.

      • I disagree with Hoselink being good. I found Hoselink to be really poor vs the price. Hozelock on special is a great buy in my mind. Significantly better than typical.Bunnings brands like Nylex and Holman.

    • If you just after a cheap hose just to water a small patch of garden and don't care if it get stolen (front garden) then yes this will work fine. But don't complain if it broke down or feel to cheap because it is cheap lol.

If you after a good quality hose get the Hoselink which I have atm for a few years now, hasn't miss a beat. But you will be paying over $200 (depending on the length of the hose) for it when on special. Check on here they do specials occasionally.

Yes Hoselink use their own eco system adapter but they do work great and no water leak.

      • Hoselink sucked for me, maybe it’s just the luck you get haha

  • Does this hose twist at the slightest opportunity and cut off the water flow like my damn hose does?

  • I grabbed a couple of leftovers from the coles deal earlier this month. They were originally $49 for 20m auto retractable, marked down to $39. Happy so far.

I have this one from masters sale, damn I miss those 10% off sales every second day, still working pretty good. It’s best mounted to the wall, my came with all the mounting accessories, long as you wind it evenly then it’s no problems.

  • Auto retractables don’t last. They stop retracting after 1 year max - manual is the way to go

    • I’ve had 5 of the Hozelock auto retractables at 2 houses and they haven’t missed a beat. Oldest is about 6 years and no probs there- great hose reels.

      • My Hozelock auto rewind is at least 7 years old and still going strong.
