I have two Repco ones I got for $30 each and both are going strong. To be fair, I had to warranty one, but I've had both of them for several years now. They get used pretty frequently, both in full sun and I've got strong pressure, and they've held up well.
Only thing I don't like about them is the internal hose diameter is a bit smaller, so a bit less flow.
Anyone confirm if it's Australia wide?

Even some semi-decent ones of these retractable hoses have durability issues.
Surely this is just another item that ends in land fill in the next 12-18 months?
