I got the A118, still going well after 4 years, with same Samsung Evo Plus SD card. Just upgrade to A129 and still going well
nah
Not sure, some have complained on dashcamtalk that all models have some issues. But my 3 A119v2 have been going strong since 2019. Only issue Ive had was one stopped saving videos but it worked fine after I swapped the SD card out even though it says it was recording so it's a good idea to check your recordings now and then.
I have 2x v2's and the same issue happened in one of them. Try upgrading the firmware, it worked for me with the same sd card
Well just dont put reflective windscreen shade , as the sunrays gets focused and relfects to the cam and melts it (was stupid enough to do it) but yeah the cams still working though just the plastic body got warped.
Been running this for about a year, no probs and the picture is great
Have the a119s since 2017. Solid videos, never skipped a beat.
Has anyone experienced problems with their car battery due to hard wiring dash cam?
Provided your hardwire kit cuts the cam off when voltage drops to a certain point, there shouldn't be any issues.
Mine are hardwired to a Xiaomi 20000mah battery and the battery is hardwired to the cars accessory. This way worked well as the cameras would use the battery bank for parking mode recording and would never drain the car battery.
Yikes that's has the potential to go bang. Then packs arnt designed to handle extreme heat that a car can get in summer. Never had a problem with a hardwire to the cars. Multiple cars the oldest coming into 6th year and still orginal battery
Thanks for your input deception this is exactly what I wanted to know. Did you also install one of those devices like the magic pro to cut off the camera when the voltage drops too low or just straight hard-wire of the camera?
@Boxcuttahz: I use the HWK3 from viofo with the voltage cutoffs. This also triggers the change over for park mode to be enabled. A direct connection (not sure if any kits actually do this) will not trigger it. Running it off a phone power bank that's not made for a dashcam will also not trigger the parking mode. It won't determine the loss of Acc. Power switch to the constant
@DoesntEvenMatter: Thanks so much once again I will look into that unit and hopefully find someone who knows how to install professionally, have a great day
@Boxcuttahz: I can do a install in 30min its really easy and I use add on fuse system so 100% removable without a trace. Look into it and do it yourself. "professionals" charge $250+ and a random charges about $80 from MP, GT or AT
Thanks so much ☺️ you've been of great help I really appreciate it
These the ones with the special melting feature in Aus summer or nah?
