quality is good, but still too expensive for me to call a bargain.
My Kathmandu branded boots lasted less than 200kms and they considered it normal on looking at reviews they were aware of all the problems for over 2yrs.
There never are exclusions, this is what they sell at for most of the year. They only go back to RRP occasionally to give the staff a chance to clean/reorganise the shop.

Melbournian's for puff jackets. The black with green liming. I believe sales were up. Cheaper than Mac stuff
Do yourself a favour and go macpac instead. Also cheaper, some down jackets I saw are going for $80
