We’re closing out the Pokémon Day weekend festivities with a Kanto-themed Raid Day! Join us to celebrate some fan-favorite Pokémon as the Season of Celebration comes to an end.

Sunday, February 28, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time

Features

  • Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will be appearing in five-star raids! If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Articuno, Shiny Zapdos, or Shiny Moltres!
  • We’re hearing reports that Giovanni will be returning with a different Shadow Legendary Pokémon in his clutches. Get ready to complete some new Team GO Rocket Special Research to save this Pokémon, Trainers!
  • Pick up a free bundle of three Remote Raid Passes in the shop starting on Saturday, February 27 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time to Monday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. (Sunday February 28 8am to Tuesday March 2 8am AEDT)
  • Earn up to five free Raid Passes by spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops or Gyms during event hours.
  • During the event period, you can use a Charged TM to help a Shadow Pokémon forget the Charged Attack Frustration.
  • Team GO Rocket Grunts will be appearing more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons throughout the event window.
  • Please be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing Pokémon GO. Upcoming events are subject to change.       Hit up the Poke Raid app to use your remote passes on the day rather than trying to find raids in your area. Though limiting them to 3 is pretty crappy when so much stuff you can get ass much as you want if you have the storage space.

      Have you followed the guides on how to beat Giovanni? I used to not be able to defeat a single Leader, but after reading the tips online, I managed to beat all of them AND Giovanni twice! I found the guides from this website helped

        I used this How to beat Giovanni. I kept getting nowhere beforehand, then used the guide to power up or evolve all the right countering pokemon. Still took a few goes.

      I beat all leaders and Giovanni with 2 Stunfisk and 1 other pokemon. Look up how to do it on YouTube. Very easy. For the most part you can finish the battle with 1 or 2 shields left because they don't have a chance to let off their moves. Most times you have 2 or 3 pokemon still alive by the end too.

      Came here looking for that comment. Glad it wasn't here. I've been playing from the start. Not great at it. Haven't even finished the first lot on the Pokedex. I just like walking around, spinning stops and catching the odd one here and there.
