Audible is letting people listen to stories for free during the lockdown - no subscription required. Most of the stories i found were related to kids(as per the front page suggests) but there were some stories 8 hours long which i thought were targeted at teenagers and adults.
For some it may not be a deal as the catalogue is not as vast as premium but found lots of good options for my 6 year old plus cant beat the price!

Pity no pictures…would have been great if the books had a few pages of pictures.

Not dissing this by any means, but many libraries have free audio books, ebooks, magazines and music through digital access. Check out your library website and look for the electronic collection.
