I've had this rice cooker for about a year, it always cooks perfect rice. It is easy to clean and has a good non-stick bowl. It has 4.5 stars on Amazon and similar elsewhere.

Not being a rice connoisseur, it's hard for me to fault the product. One thing I will add it is fairly big (10 litres) so there's a need to consider storage space.

    Never tried it with a colander but this still has potential for error e.g overcooking it, and requires a bit of effort/monitoring.

    Rice cooker it is just pour the rice in, pour the water in, press a button and guaranteed perfect. This may sound lazy, though many inventions are designed to facilitate human laziness.
