The Live model sits outside the ear canal, so doesn't have the rubber grommet seal. But it does have active noise cancelling.
I've got the Pro's and even without ANC they're great at isolating ambient noise because they're tight in the ear. Or you can long-hold the right bud to switch to ambient mode, which amplifies ambient noise.
For me Pros didn't fit my ear properly, causing pain after 10 minutes of usage. Buds and Buds Plus are nearly perfect, esp for this price.
Same, just got the pros and will be returning. No iOS support and the just keep falling out. Buds + are an exceptional fit and good all round.
I feel the same with the pro I got recently. How do you go about returning for a reason like this? I also feel that the ANC is not very good.
@callumds: I'll just tell them they fall out of my head, I'm an iOS user and they don't function as they say they will on the box. I expect they won't care, I got them from JB HiFi.
@MrFizz: Any reason you didn't get airpods if you have an Apple phone?
@Dean29: Mostly I just don't like their look and how common they are, which is dumb I know. I have owned a lot of earbuds and never had AirPods yet but I think I will whenever the new 'pro' ones are released. Over the past months, I have purchased the Sennheiser Momentum 2 and now the buds pro and I just keep coming back to the Buds +… They sound nowhere near as good as the others but they fit and work better than both.
If you didn't know, Amazon shows the reviews for all the sellers under that listing.
Ah? How does that work sorry. I thought the review would be for that specific seller, amazonau in this instance?
These are pretty great. I bought some a week ago ($199 from JB Hi Fi) and they sound great, battery life is great and they work perfectly with my samsung galaxy. Coming from iPhones and AirPods, I reckon these are about as close as you can get to the apple air pod experience. The buttons on the side will let you pause, skip forward, skip backwards and assign the following to either ear (launch google assistant or bixby assistant, launch and play spotify or start ambient mode. They do have rubber bits that fit into your ears which may not be comfortable for some people. On the flip side, I tried some Samsung Buds Live and there is no way they would stay in my ears if I moved my head unlike the Samsung Buds Plus and Apple AirPods.
Are the mics good for calling?
Yes, actuwlly these are fantastic quality for phone calls
The Galaxy Buds+ are fantastic, good luck finding something better at this price point!

if one is after a cheaper alternative..
(the airpods shape suits my ear better, can't get a good seal in both ears with the rubber tip typeThis is not an alternative, it's just a product from different category of earphones
Different styles but that's cool
Samsung's should be good for the price, just always various issues even with The expensive ones (like the Google buds). Jaybird Vista and Elite 85t would be alright too.
Good price
Excuse my ignorance in advance as I've never bought wireless but are these compatible with all devices (iPhones, Macbooks, Smart TVs, other android phones, etc). Just want to make sure before I buy.
They should pair and work with any bluetooth device.
Ta.
I got some a few days ago and sturggle at first to pair with other devices but easy when you know how:-
Say they are already paired to your phone, temporary turn off the bluetooth on your phone then put them in the case, close it and open it. Now you will be able to pair to your Smart TV/laptop etc. Use this method to pair all devices
The problem is they automatically connect to you phone when you open the case and when connected they turn off pairing mode instantly.
just turn the bluetooth off on your phone, and/or go into the settings to manually disconnect them.
I have the original galaxy buds and I have always been able to jump easily between my Samsung phone and Macbook.
Nothing better at this price point.
Is it eligible for cashback using shopback or cashrewards?
For song and music, which one is better, this, Sony WF-1000XM3 or CX 400BT?
I can't speak for the Sony's but i got the CX 400BT a couple weeks ago and i'm absolutely blown away by the sound quality. They fit in my ears well too which i have trouble with some buds. They don't have all the bells and whistles like the sony's do but if it's sound quality you want i think the sennheisers are amazing for the $149 they are going for at the moment.
Bought galaxy buds $135. This price is too tempting but not sure if I need a second pair
when will goodguys have 20% off from ebay?
One sec, I'll ask them
sometime in future
The price has gone up?
Yeah it's gone up unfortunately.
Easy come easy go
In terms of fit and audio quality, these are excellent. My problem is the touch sensitivity - I constantly interrupt playback and accidentally skip forward using these, not just when attempting to remove or replace them, but even if you rub your ear near your shoulder. I was once wearing them in light rain and the conductive surface caused them to completely flip out. I also mostly listen to 1 to 2 hour long audio files of DJ mixes, so skipping forward accidentally is a big deal - I rarely have an opportunity to touch the phone to go into the audio app, go back to the previous track and then hunt through to where I was up to. This wasn't just an occasional thing - I only wear them for about an hour or so a day, and would average two to three accidental touches each time I used them. Frankly, it drove me up the wall.
I also have a pair of Sennheiser True Wireless 2 and while those are bulkier and mic pickup is substantially worse, I don't have any issues with accidental skipping. They also have an ambient audio pass-through mode, so with a double-tap on the right bud it stops playback and feeds in ambient sound, without having to take the buds out to talk to people. I've found that exceptionally convenient - where I thought I would only use the TW2 occasionally and the Buds+ most of the time, I've only used the Buds+ twice since I got the TW2.

Is there any significant difference between Kogan version and Australia version?
The Kogan version ships from a seller in Hong Kong. Product will be the same. Well played to everyone who gets an ebay credit. They probably shouldn't honour it.
No where does it say it is a overseas version.
@Trip: The listing states sold by Hey Battery.
If you click on Hey Battery, the terms and conditions state, "Sold and delivered by IDS (Hong Kong) Company Limited".
Do with that what you will.
@MaxD: if you read a bit lower on that page,

WARNING - These don't fare too well with the wash and spin cycle of washing machines.
Name one pair of wireless earphones that do.
People really can't read humour on the internet to well can they.
That said, mine did end up in the wash, then the dryer. The case is just too easy to get missed when they end up in one of the 10+ pockets I have in my work pants.
So after realisation, I went and put them through the dryer for a couple more cycles on mild, then charged the case up fully with the ear buds.
Touch is a bit off and the battery on the right bud lasts about an hour but the left bud is almost 100% operational again plus the case holds charge.my washed and dried galaxy buds are cooked
@Save Medicare: Not surprised. After reading up on what to do after it happened there were not too many happy endings to most stories.
My condolences.
Humour people. Look it up
haaaaahaaahaahhhhahh best joke mate

How different from buds live and buds pro?
