These are a good upgrade from my Tronsmart onyx ace.

Pros compared to the Onyx Ace:
    Louder
    Less cutting out when walking
    More reliable touch controls
    Superior microphone
    Better/fuller sound (subjective)
Case is less lively to accidentally pop open.

    Cons compared to Ace:
No battery indicators on the case
The plastic feels less premium in the ear.
Only pairs to 1 device at a time.

One oddity with my unit, every so often they'll announce that they're turning off mid playback, I believe this is the Note 9's fault and not the headphones but I can't be sure.

    • Yes they do turn off randomly, happens like 1 in 10 times to me. Using it along with Mi A3

    • I have an android tv with blue tooth

Can you use these pods while watching tv?

      • Yes you can, you will just need to pair them to the device before use.

    • I think that might be your device - I've used my TrueAir2s for hours long meetings/media watching/music listening and they've never turned off mid playback.

I've used them with my Pixel 5 and iPad Air 2020 without issues (except for occasional dropout)

      • I wouldn't be surprised if it is the phone, but t
I haven't experienced it with any other bluetooth headset I have.

Don't get me wrong, it has only happened twice in two weeks. When it has happened, they will turn off every 10 minutes or so and the only fix is to power down the buds and restart the phone.

        • Happens all the time with my s8, no issues with other headphones. Also no issues with trueair and my wife's s7 so go figure

    • I have a Note 9 that I use with these and don't have that turning off issue. I did get told that the microphone wasn't great during a phone call but I was outside and in the wind so there's that. The sound drivers do a great job though, great value all told.

    • Ordered my second pair yesterday and got it today. Surprised to find that the case is upgraded. There is a new battery indicator on the case similar to soundpeats sonic.

    • Bought and tried these first time last night.

Never used ear buds before but not a patch on Sennheiser earphones while watching tv

Connected to my t.v. it sounds tinny with no bass and I've got the tv volume up to level 60 of 80 and still don't get great volume.

      What am I doing wrong?

      • Tap the right ear piece to increase the volume if you haven't already. Also try get a good fit in your ears, some people have suggested foam ear tips but you may not need them depending on the size of the ear.

        • Thanks champ

  • +4

Love mine, going to order a 2nd, perhaps a 3rd pair to keep in the car and a bag.

A tip for anyone who owns them, grab a 100 pack of cheap foam ear bud covers for like $2.

Makes them snug, creates a bit of a bass seal, and they still fit in the case.

    • +1

      Do you have the link?

      • +1

these have been modified to fit see the comments section for details & pics (I don't have first hand experience) https://www.amazon.com.au/EKIND-Silicone-Earpods-Replacement…

      • -4

No sorry, but googling or ebaying for foam earphone cover is quite straight forward.

        • +1

A link would help seeing as you already know which work. Standard Bud covers would not work with the TrueAir2 as they are not buds.

          • -1

            @Borg: It would have taken you less words to Google;

But anyway, anything like this works fine.

            https://m.alibaba.com/product/62590108887/Common-PU-Foam-Ear…

Edit: lol, and somebody down voted me because I don't have a link. Can't give ya what I don't have sparky. I just googled again, above, for whomever that was.

            • @MasterScythe: You reckon these round type tips work well with TrueAir2 (which are not round)? Genuine question i.e. do you have TrueAirs and also these type of foam covers?

              • @Borg: Agree, that's why people asked I guess, as they look like they fit the traditional shaped East buds, not airpod style.

Anyway, ordered the trueair2, the rubber covers I linked above could be worth a go for a few bucks

                • @G-rig: Let us know how you go wih the rubber covers and how well they fit (if you ever get some yourself).

Something simular in foam would be great to create a better sound buffer to outside noise as the TrueAir2 aren't the best at blocking.

                  • @Borg: No worries, got a couple of those generic round ones I may Try first, from my wired yuin pk1's. Not expecting the sound to be anywhere near as good but handy to have a portable set of buds (with ANC)

              • @Borg: Yes, yes, and yes.

You can see them fitted to original Apple ear buds with the bass port design, with the similar shape.

    • I have an android tv with blue tooth

Can you use these pods while watching tv?

    • +2

Does it fit in the charging case? Or we have to take it off whenever charging?

    • What type?

There is also these, wondering if anything that fits apple would fit these?
      https://www.amazon.com.au/EKIND-Silicone-Earphone-AirPods-Ea…

  • +2

First impressions. Charging case is SMALL! very compact.

Eartip is BIG. I normally use the biggest ear tip addon (example QCY). These fixed eartips like earpods are BIGGER than ear and airpods.

Will not stay on your ears if you shake it hard! Not suitable at the gym. Purchased this for Zoom/Teamviewer video calls. Doing great so far.

    • Yeah, they are way too big for my small ears which is my only complaint

    • Cheap foam covers make them stay in at the gym, and improve midrange bass response :)

    • You guys must have abnormally puny ears… no issues here more or less a perfect fit and they don't fall out. So if you're a midget with tiny ears I guess beware?

      • Yep, same here. I run with these and they stay snug, have never had an issue. These pods are pretty awesome for the price, the sound is closer to airpods than you might think. I even use mine for WFH now

      • Wouldn't they fall out if you had bigger giant ears?

      • like i said, normal airpods or earpods are perfectly fine on my ears. These are much bigger than that.

        • ok may be selling them if they aren't almost identical or slightly bigger than airpods.
sounds like they are similar but we'll see tmrw :)

  • Just received SoundPeats Sonic from Amazon and very happy with it for the price. I'm glad I didn't spend 250-300 bucks on Jabra Elite 85t or Sennheiser CX400 BT. These sound miles better than my old Jabra Elite 65t. Haven't tried calling so not sure how good it would be but Jabra Elite 65t was pretty useless for calls too.
The only missing features that would have been nice to have are auto-pause and hearthrough but probably asking for too much at this price range.

    • I have the Soundpeats TrueEngine3, but have also trialled the TrueAir2 and can report that call quality with both is excellent and voice quality through the mics is excellent.

    • same here just got mine. and call quality is good, otherwise i was going to return them sincne i already have a pair which are unusable for calling. they are really good on first impression..

      • They are so good that I have ordered a true engine 3 too as a backup while it's on sale.
Call quality in a quiet room is excellent. My friend couldn't tell I was talking through a set of ear buds.

        • Yep it's only when there are noises in background they fall apart.

  • these Trueair2's or the Truebuds (~$5 more)?

Help me decide. Amazon description is not much help.

    • +2

Found the TrueAir2's to be quite uncomfortable for extended use. My son tried them too and had the same issues.

Ended up with TrueEngine3 x 3 and everyone in family raves over them, both for comfort and sound quality. A little more expensive but worth it imho.

The TrueFree2 look very similar in style, and hence guessing would be fairly comfortable and selling for just $32 bucks atm.

Or if you prefer the style of the TrueAir2, the Soundpeat Q can be had for 35 atm and also feature rubber ear "cups" which help with comfort and noise isolation.

Either way you go, think you should be very happy with Soundpeats.

      • What are the SE 3 like for phonecalls?

Also do they have multipoint device connect?

        • Great for very quiet environment

      • I've tried the TrueEngine3 and they wouldn't fit my ears at all no matter which tip I tried, so I had to send them back. The TrueFree2 is a much better fit for me and stays in even while exercising, so YMMV regarding fit.

      • Thx for the input, ended up getting the Truebuds due to battery life & hopefully better sound quality, hard to compare when they only give snidbits of info..

  • How do these do with phone calls?

    • Pretty good, better than the previous QCY's I had

    • +1

Worse than most premi buds, but much better than soundpeats old stuff.

  • +2

using the true air 2 since December to make calls for work and very very happy.
noise cancellation is good (cancel sorrounding noise when I call)
very portable, small case, still aware of surrounding.

I paid 4 dollar more back in December deal.

    only negs are :
case not showing battery level, only one light on the case and goes red and blue when charging

easy to slip off if when chewing some food or do sudden movements

  • +1

Are these basically the same size/shape as airpods? I can't really use the type that bed to go ride in the ear to create a seal and found the airpods reasonably comfortable. Apparently these may not be that good for prolonged use. I've got wired for home/office use, would just be for calls or zoom, some casual walks etc.

The cheap twc ones I've got can only connect to one ear which is useless

  • Which one is best for staying in ear?

  • +1

i noticed the SoundPEATS Truengine2 have a $45 off coupon on them, bringing them down to $65:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0861FC15V/ref=emc_b_5_t

has anyone had any experience with the Truengine?

  • +1

These punch well above their weight for the $$ . Have been using mine for 18 months without a drama

  • These have been the best so far for Teams and Zoom calls.

However, they can either be uncomfortable or fall out depending on how I place them into my ear. Any tips on how I can rectify this. Otherwise they work so well.

  • +2

These are great earbuds especially for the price but if you are the type of person that regularly uses one earbud at a time (and leaves the other in the case) be aware that this can cause connection issues where they won't pair together again - there is a reset workaround that usually works (Google pairing issues and you will find YouTube videos) but I had to replace one of my daughters sets under warranty due to not finding an adequate fix.

    • Sounds annoying as sometimes it's handy using one.

Do you have to pair them while in the case first.
some generic ones i have shows both of the ear pieces in the bluetooth connections but can only connect one at a time.

Probably ok for the price, have small ears too though so may not be comfortable.

Jaybird Vista would be good overall, apparently the sound could be a bit better (then again the grey is $210 on amazon, they were a bit cheaper recently on DSE etc, for some reason the black ones are always a lot more)

  • +1

on product page it says sold by AMR but in my checkout it shows sold by shenzhenshiamarangkejiyouxiangongsi

    is there something wrong?

  • Are these a worthwhile upgrade from my QCY T2C?

  • +2

would be good to know which ones are the best for phone calls

    • Agree - for me the most practical differece is the mic quality for voice calls and zoom meetings.
Haven't had great experience with various bluetooth earphones, so have gone back to my wired headphones which came in the box and they work great.

So if these are as good as the AKG wired headphones for voice, I'm in.
(I note that these have noise cancellation, so might even be better in noisy environment!)

      • same…always end up back in wired ones for zooms/phone calls

        • +1

The Trueair2 are very good. I have checked with people after long calls and they didn't notice I was using them so call quality was very good.
They are not good in noisy streets with buses going by. Can't hear a thing through these, other than that are excellent for the price.

    • I've had issues with the microphone on mine. It works but others complain it's really quite and hard to hear me.

I've done call recordings on my phone (to take out the possibility of bad call connection) and yeah it's pretty muffled compared to handset mic.

Then other times no complaints. Not sure what's up. Love them otherwise

  • Wondering if SoundPEATS Truebuds True Wireless Earbuds for $40 from Amazon with additional 10% voucher?

From what I gather the ones on this deal have noise cancelling and the Tuebuds don't. Want the one with best APTx Bluetooth sound codecs.

  • My sister bought some yesterday at full price :/

    • Cancel the order and get this

      • She received them this morning though :/

        • +2

Order another one at the discounted price, then submit a return request on the first order, then when you receive the new one just send that back.

          • +2

@dji1111111: Or save the hassle for both parties and request a refund of the difference via Amazon chat. They have helped out in these situations

            • @JJlikes2eat: Ah awesome! I'll let her know.

              • @corehaza: Or just enjoy them and not worry about the discount. Is it really worth all the effort?

                • @Borg: I got my pair last time on sale and they're amazing. I'm just forwarding this info onto my sister haha

                • +1

@Borg: If you're a true OzBargainer, then yes.

            • @JJlikes2eat: Surprised they have. I tried that and they denied me

            • @JJlikes2eat: They normally don't do that. You just got lucky.

  • Thanks Op

  • Thanks - Happy to give these a go for $35. :)

  • +1

are these like the rest of the %50> cheap earbuds that have that static white noise in quite scenes in movies?

    • +2

Yes, I have these and have the static noise. It's not noticeable when out and about but if I'm at home listening to something, I do hear the buzz during quieter audio.

      • nice to know, that's a pretty annoying issue

      • I've been using mine for 2 months now, no static whatsoever

    • +1

I have not noticed it on the Trueair 2s. I notice it on the Bose though :/

      • non existent on the first gen samsungs, i got the 40 dollar xiaomi S they are unbearable from the static noise. you get what you pay for, never more true for bluetooth earbuds.. the Samsung line buds are the best bang for buck tbh

    • always something..
Can't complain too much for the price,
bluetooth and wireless are just for convenience, not high sound quality

  • +1

    Got them, love them

    Pros
    - too good for the price
    - light weight, so small
    - battery life is unbelievable
    - music is good for $35

    Cons
    - some people complained about the call quality
    - connecting to phone. If I pick up the left bud first, then the right, it seems to connect more consistently
    - doesn't fit everyone's ear

  • I know they are different price tiers, but anyone own these and Buds+ ? how do they compare sound quality-wise?

  • +5

Soundpeats should do something to make their product lineup clearer. Way too many models that are very similar and it's really hard for someone new to work out what the differences are

    • +1

Agreed. Being all very similarly priced doesn’t help either.

    • Agree. Every time one of these 'Soundpeats Deals' comes up (which seems to be quite frequently) I plan to get a pair but never do for this reason. Fit and comfort are most important to me.

I always think I have decided on a model then think 'I like the features of one model but I also like the features of another model, perhaps they should release a new model that combines the two'… But then I realise that would only add to the confusion I already have.

      • Buy, try, return

      • haha I'm the same

    • there is a table with the other models on that product page if you scroll down.
Agree, though, too many similar models. Suppose may as well try these TrueAir2 for $35, can't exactly be bothered with my QC2 cabled cans anymore.

I've got some spare foam ear pads (small round ones with hole on each side, to fit standard style buds), do they work?
the rubber ones i linked above are probably worth a go

    • -1

You shouldn't need to work it out; there's a table on their page :)

If you're not the audiophile type, I'd suggest these exact ones any day, comfortable, great range, huge battery, and tiny case.

If you're the type to want audio quality above ALL else, any of their dual-driver designs.

      • The table doesn't include all their mdoels and apart from technical specs it doesn't mention anything else which is pretty much useless to work out what the differences are
