  • Good timing, I just bought a PS3 yesterday.

Sign onto PSN for the AUD equivalent.

Will that be inclusive of the Australian BS tax though?

    • +1

Not sure. As an example, I purchased Cuboid (awesome game) for $6.50 AUD I think and the UK equivalent is £3.19.

    • +1

I think the AUD exchange rate was hard coded when the PS3 was released. Must have cos the prices are not world parity pricing.

      L.A. Noire - £35.99 (£32.39 Plus)
      AUD$69.95 (AUD$62.96 Plus)

If you were to make a UK account on your PS3 the content can still be used by every other account, including your main Australian one. Just be warned that some DLC will only work with a particular region coded game though. Yes all PS3 games are region free but they still have some different region coding. For example my Asian imported copy of Mass Effect 2 is incompatible with all Australian DLC, so I had to make an Asian account and download the DLC from that store to use with the game. A bit of a pain, but if the savings are significant for the Uk store over the Australian store, it might be worth it.

      • UK and AU store used the same DLC, however Asian region games doesn't that's why your Mass effect 2 dlc didn't work with AU DLC.

Rayman Origins was the only thing I wanted.

I was looking at this as well. It's $60 in PSN, but $42 + delivery from ozgameshop, for example. Disk version is less convenient, but turns out to be cheaper, plus some resale value )

odd question, but if i buy a psp game on my ps3, will i beable to use it on my psvita with the psp emulator that comes on it? wouldnt mind having MHFU and patapon on there to start off

this festive sale is VERY lame!

As someone who has lived in 3 different regions of the world since the PSN was born, Sony completely alienated me as a customer by not allowing for country changes. Now I have multiple legitimate accounts for different regions, with no way to consolidate and to make matters worse, Sony releases devices like the PSP and Vita that only allow one account to be active. In the Vita's case it was confirmed you need to reset your device to a clean state in order to change accounts, the previous rumour of accounts being tied to individual memory cards was false.

This is why I use Steam, but never PSN with respect to paid downloadable content. Sony just doesn't get it.

    • I thought you only needed a different memory card if you wanted to change user on the psp vita?

  • terrible

    this… is a sale?!

    • Yes… Yes it is.

    • Gah, double post.

Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light is one of the best bargains. Great game for only $10.95.
Used to be 20+ before sale.

    • Second this. Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light is without question one of the greatest arcade games ever made. It looks stunning and the puzzles are top notch. Don't let the Lara Croft name put anyone off… this is simply a quality game.

Thought the $5.20 for 5 mini games was a good buy.. ?

  • i might grab the zombie game and the dead nation DLC while im at it.
