Are those the digital copies that require a VPN to register?
I was looking at those but liked the safety of a physical copy when dealing with steam.
It depends. My key (Russian) for MW3 required a VPN, but I got it to work. Same thing for MW2, it required a little workaround method.
BF3 on Origin also, which required an 'external' language pack. Saved myself over $30 for a digital copy.
But hey, I get where you're coming from. When your library consists of 50+ games which totals in at about $1,200, you don't want to risk losing it over a saving of $10-$20.
Would rather buy a geniune, legit copy.
DUPE. See post below this one.
Will this copy work on steam?
I sure hope so. That's the reason I'm getting it.
It is a good price, but you can get a digital copy (CD key emailed) for ~$22.
Nonetheless, a physical copy can be sold at a later date, which kinda evens out the price difference. That is of course, if the buyer does not want to play online, as the serial number would of already been redeemed.
