I went to get some AA batteries for the Xmas gifts and was pleasantly surprised that my local Woolworths had 1/2 price on energizer 10 pack! (cheapest iv seen it for awhile)
Hopefully it will help a few other christmas shoppers :D

The 8-pack AAA were also half price on Thursday.
Was also in Coles yesterday and they had the same deal, and also $7.99 for the 10-pack (the latter being the "Advanced" alkaline rather than the Max). Not sure about AAs - only had my eye on AAAs.
For the AAA's, the Energizer Advance (low resistance alkalines) at $7.99 for a 10 pack is better value than the Energizer Max (regular alkalines), which they also have on half price special at $6.74 for 8. A superior battery cell that costs less is double the win.
Nothing outlasts the Energizer - OI!!!
Just after receiving a 2-way handheld radio at the GPO,
ie, with 2x battery cases, each holding 6x AA batteries,
I popped into a small el cheapo shop (on Adel's K Wm St)
Happy to get a better deal (I think): 12x Philips alkaline AA's
for $5 (and they were -fresh- too; at that price they must
move a lot of packs. If I ever pass that shop again… ;-)
Say, are the cells in this "deal" alkaline?
