The Lego Imperial Star Destroyer needs no introduction. Not the cheapest ever price but it’s in the ballpark and at least it’s in stock. Shipping is stated as starting from $35 but it was $18 expedited with insurance for me.

Lowest I’ve seen is $770. Myer has it regularly on sale for $880 shipped. Never seen it in stock at that price though.
Amazon needs to get this set already. Need some decent sales before pulling the trigger
For me Target and Big W is where I save on Lego. Because Suncorp benefits has 5% off gift cards for these stores and stacks with Cashback making it much cheaper than other places including Amazon. The savings on gift cards are especially significant on big purchases like this.
Though Amazon is really good when it comes to Black Friday
Picked it up from Big W for $20 cheaper.
Decent deal tho
Want this bad but wanna wait till under $800

Yer was lucky deal
got mine for $430 used. Not trying to flex haha
I'm really tempted by this set, but I already have so, so many grey lego sets :(
Just out of curiosity, how do you justify the price considering its worth a few hours of entertainment? Or do people just collect it and sell it after a few years cos they go up in price?
You can apply that line of thinking to anything. I don’t smoke and I hardly drink. I don’t buy things on a whim and I don’t buy anything that I can’t afford.
Is it responsible expenditure? That’s debatable but I know I could spend money on worse.
I’m going to get enjoyment out of it. It’s going to occupy a space in my home theatre aka my man cave (it’ll look like it is chasing the millennium falcon) where it will get plenty of appreciation.
Lastly, it’s a gift from my SO for my 40th. I haven’t touched lego since I was 5 or 6 years old so it’ll be something different, yet familiar.
Wow! You built the millennium Falcon when you were 5 or 6? I'm impressed!
Sadly it only went .3 past light speed.
After building it you are left with a rather large model that you can display and enjoy for years to come…
If only they put the same price on their ebay story…
Missed the deal on the Technic RSR yesterday, but this is much better. Just out of curiosity though, what's the cheapest this has ever been?
