  • How do Mitsubishi compare against Daikin and Panasonic?

    • And interested in the comparison to the Mitsubishi Bronte range!

      • 2-5kW = Avanti
        6+kW = Bronte

      Hi Ashley
Mitsubishi Heavy industries air conditioners are one of the most energy efficient on the market. That’s why they keep winning all the awards.

All these 3 brands you mention are all good. I used to always buy Daikin for AC and they have always been reliable. I changed this time and bought a Mitsubishi Heavy Industyries Bronte 7.1kw cool 8.kw Heating and its amazing. I think this time around the latest MHI has the best product. Canstar and Choice Air Conditioner of the year. Just make sure you dont research Mitsubishi Electric for AC as they are both two entirely different companies, and totally different product. 5 stars for the MHI product. Its awesome.

    • Mitsubishi heavy is different to Mitsubishi.
In my opinion, Mitsubishi heavy is better but everyone has their own opinion.

    • Mitsubishy Heavy Industries ones are commonly held to be among the best, along with Panasonic.

I recently bought for MHI 2.5 avanti units for that reason.

  • Any details further details available? model number?

So $20 cheaper then Bunnings, yes? Pretty sure Bunnings also price match/beat

    • They’ll beat it by 5%!

Our lowest prices policy applies to any lower price on an item that is in-stock and available for delivery or collection on the same day from a competitor’s online or physical store in Australia. It applies where our competitor’s price (including GST and delivery charges), is lower than our price.

We recognise that despite everything we do to provide our products at the lowest prices we can’t always be the lowest at every instant on everything. So, if you find a competitor's lower price (including GST and delivery charges) on the same in-stock item that’s available for same-day delivery or collection, we'll beat it by 10%. Don't forget this excludes trade quotes, stock liquidations and commercial quantities.

We are not offering it on our online website. It’s a special order purchase. Also it won’t be delivered on the same day. But no harm in asking them. We always strive to be competitive and look after our customers with any questions or technical support.

Bunnings will still beat it and have better cs

        • So, you expect David will always beat Goliath. Maybe they should also offer price beat after you say Bunnings beat it, then go back to Bunnings again, then come back here, until they start paying you to take the product. Capitalism at its finest.

          • @langitbiru: Hi Langitbiru

Generally up to 20m2 for the 2.5kw. Also depends on the room insulation. If you can email us with more details we can assess it for you.

      Hey there langitbiru
From a quick search I got this for unit size and room/ space suitability:

      Room size Example Approx. capacity
Small (up to 20m2) Bedroom, study, small kitchen 2–2.5kW
Medium (20–40m2) Bedroom with ensuite, small lounge 2.5–5kW
Large (40–60m2) Large bedroom, mid-sized lounge, large kitchen 4–6kW
Extra large (60+m2) Open-plan areas, large lounges 5–9kW

Height also needs to be taken into account, any insulation, large/small windows, facing west/east, do kids go in and out constantly, etc.

  • I’ve had one of these in our bedroom for the past 3 years, very quiet and cools fast.

    Definitely recommend.

  • We have four MHI split air-cons of varying sizes in our house and I can highly recommend this brand. Our 8kw in the living room has run like a dream for 7yrs and it pretty much runs 24-7 during the Qld summer. The two most recent additions were 2kw splits for the kid's bedrooms and they are energy-efficient, whisper-quiet, and cool the rooms effortlessly - in fact my son has no probs dropping the temp to achieve his optimal arctic freeze zone!

  • We have installed three of these units over the past few years.

Had experience with Panasonic, Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric, and I'd happily choose Mitsubishi Heavy Industries again over those.
