Jesus the ultimate edition is at a good price!

  • +1

If I want everything I need the ultimate + Pass 2?

    • The Ultimate Edition includes:
      • The game
      • FighterZ Pass (8 new characters)
      • Anime Music Pack
      • Commentator Voice Pack

      Not sure…

      • +2

Yes. Ultimate only includes Pass 1

    • For all the character you would need ultimate, pass 2 and pass 3. Pass 3 is $30 and won't go on sale for a considerable amount of time due to characters still being released. Honestly the ultimate edition is the way to go before committing to pass 2 or 3.

"This software includes modes or features for which an internet connection and a paid membership to Nintendo Switch Online are required."

Can we play offline/not a member?

    • +1

Yes, the game includes a large amount of offline features (story mode, arcade, numerous training modes). You only need a membership online if you want to play multiplayer, tournaments etc.

Edit: at the main menu you select if you want to go into the online or offline lobby/ hub.

Does this require a specific invite? Link is invalid

  • Would this be recommended to those who don't really know DBZ?

    • +3

If you like fighting games sure, most fighting games feature characters people aren't usually familiar with.

    • +1

Regardless of the Dragon Ball IP its a really good fighter. But to get the most out of it does cater to fans.

  • Cheers OP. Haven't played a DBZ game in years, good deal

  • Is it worth getting the ultimate edition for $23+? I never played DB game before

    • Yes. It's a fun game and quite easy to pick up.

  • +1

    Extra $8 for 8 characters…..Yes! KameHameHa!~

  • +1

Also the same price on Xbox. This also shows all of the included characters that the switch listing doesn't seem to have.

  • Thanks OP!

Great buy at this price. Ultimate edition worth grabbing for the extra characters. Solid fighter mechanics and a big online community to play.

  • Thanks OP. Haven't had a decent new Switch game in a while so this is perfect!

  • Great game but be warned if you're used to load times from ARMS or Smash Bros, sometimes the loading can be longer than actual match time.

I still really enjoy it but it's harder to reccomend because of that, a "quick" few matches is a lot of downtime in between. I have read recently that putting it on the internal memory helps a little, but the GBs with patches are slowly creeping up, it would be a good chunk of internal memory gone to one game.

  • Oo I’ve been waiting for a good deal in this one. Now the choice between the Switch portability or those sweet Xbox achievements…

    • I have a lot of spare credit on the Switch (that's what happens when you get $600 worth with only a few games plus topping up a 12 month subscription), so I figured that I would pounce on the deal. Pretty good funand I may be tempted to double dip with the Xbox version.

Fighting games are portable console musts. Love this deal, thanks OP

  • +2

Just bought it on Xbox. Looks amazing on xbox series x.

Lost 5 times in a row against my partner. I hate this game and I hate Krillin.

      • Were you playing as Yamcha or something??

  • Are there continuous combined moves in this game or just randomly hitting the buttons?

    • Not sure what you mean by "continuous combined moves" - but the game caters for both new/casual players to hardcore/veteran fighting game players. They have "auto combos" that makes it easy for new people to have fun but still be effective.

      • Thanks. You have answered my question.

  • Does anyone recommend this or Kakarot? Haven't played a DBZ game since like ps1. Will grab fighterz on switch and Kakarot on Xbox depending on which is the better of the two

    • +2

Fighterz is a fighting game with an original story, while Kakarot is an RPG that retells the DBZ story with additional side quest stories.
      They're not really comparable.

      • hmm Kakarot for nostalgia is the go, I think

      • +1

I haven't played Kakarot but I feel like I've played it 8 times before.

  • Goonya Fighters is good
