It does not work against mosquitoes. I mean, this type in general. Coils do work. Apart from that, I wanted to try https://www.raidkillsbugs.com.au/en-au/products/raid-next-ge…

      Why doesn't it work?

Coils and the linked product are for keeping them away when you're outside.. I want to kill a mozzie when it gets in the house and i can't find it, not merely ask it to move along to the next room instead of biting my kids all night

Mossies aren’t attracted to UV. These do work in the sense they’ll kill mossies - just they’ll kill a lot lot more moths and other insects.

        • Ok. So this with an attractant could work.. If this thing isn't support underpowered. So i guess that's the question.

Who has one and what can it kill?

Got one aldi previously. Returned it after one use. It didn't do a thing….

  • No JVs club…😲

      What's a JV comment? :/

      • JV stands for Joint Venture. Its where multiple users coordinate to make comments that are witty and usually clever, but often only tangentially relevant to the deal itself.

Nope, it didn't work. Returned it.

    How’s the serenity?

      We're goin' to Bonnie Doon!

  • So what is its usual price?

  • Got the Aldi one last year. Worked great! Set it outside the bedroom. Cleared mozzies the size of a 5cent piece that would have otherwise had me for dinner overnight.

But it died within 5 months of use. So I got a couple of kmart ones for $15 each. But still prefer the size of the Aldi one.

    • Yeah, I have a bit of mossies in the house, this thing would be handy

    This product infuriates me;

    • It does not run when plugged into 240V, it only runs from the built-in battery. You cannot run it from the battery while charging.
    • Run time is about 2 hours when new
    • Charge time is then 10 hours.

So the maximum operational time within a 24 hour window is about 4 hours.
It makes no sense whatsoever to not be able to plug in to 240V and run for as many hours as you want.

    • Yeah the runtime makes this useless if that's accurate

    • Deal breaker. Thanks

    • See this sort of thing is almost worthy of a neg vote.

A terrible product, multiple people returning it, doesn't work as intended…

      Well thats a deal breaker.
