This deal looks to be on again from the same seller.
8BitDo SN30 Pro+ is down to $55.99 delivered from the Kogan marketplace. Company proflile says that they ship from Melbourne, so expect it to take a week or so to arrive.

This works well with a nintendo switch. Once you pair it it works pretty much the same as a pro controller. No need to program anything.
I overall prefer the pro controller but the D pad is definitely much better on the 8bitdo for 2D platformers/SNES/NES classic/etc.
Countless reviews on YouTube.
Works out of the box, no programming required.
Won't turn the switch on though, which is annoying.
Once paired, works right away in Switch mode. You use a button combo Start+Y to go into Switch mode.
Downside is you cannot turn on the Switch from sleep mode using this gamepad like you can with the Pro controller.
I'd recommend the 8-bitdo Ultimate software with a Windows PC as the gamepad gets firmware updates frequently.
awesome! thanks for all the feedback. purchased one for my kid for his Switch.
tbh, I tend to prefer ozb community feedback or local AU forum feedback over youtube reviews. I don't find youtube as trustworthy or unbiased imho
Does it function out of the box in the same way as a Switch Pro controller
For me it takes much much longer to connect to Switch compared to Switch Pro Controller.
Once connected it works without any issues.
Is this a good controller for PC or the Xbox controller is better
Xbox is better for PC games as PC games with controller settings have button prompts in games and this has the buttons "backwards" to the xbox one. (B is where A is, X is where Y is).
This one works great for emulation though because Nintendo buttons are in a different place and it has a good D pad(though I do also like the series x D pad).
It's great for PC. You can actually use it on PC in X-input mode and it will work exactly like Xbox controller. Only downside is the face button labels are Nintendo-style so you have to remember A is B and B is A. However, you can use the software to remap these to your liking.
Thanks do you need to buy a wireless adaptor to play it wirelessly on PC?
this one use bluetooth so if your pc has bt then all good
I have been using this controller to play platform games on my PC, no complain. Happy with my purchased :D
and agree with what you have just said
8BitDo SN30 Pro+(8bitdo.com)
SN Edition(kogan.com)
Classic Edition(kogan.com)
Black Edition(kogan.com)
what are the differences between those 4 ?
Just the color. First link is just the url to the official site if you wanted more info/specs.
Different colours
The colour.
is this the lowest ever ? tempted.. edit ok probably lowest $53
have baseus one but feel cheap built and buttons functions are hard to understand
This one doesn't feel cheap and if you're more a playstation player.. you'd probably like it since the shape is very similar. Also can program this controller to whichever you want… there's even like rapid fire haha.
Great controller, other than the ZL ZR triggers.
I feel there is too much movement/play before it bottoms out.
I know you can adjust the sensitivity but just doesn't feel as good as analogue ones.
Still feel the original Nintendo GameCube controller is one of the best to date
Very good controller, even use it for remote play with PS4 and PC.
Can't recommend it enough.
Sweet! I was waiting for a good deal on this. Need a controller that can sync with my nvidia shield.
I love this controller, it works perfectly with my Switch and my PC, and also works well with Android games, emulators and xCloud.
For PC use, unlike the Switch Pro controller, it has analog triggers and unlike an Xbox one controller, it has a gyro, so you get the best of both worlds (though unfortunately you can't simultaneously have analog triggers and gyro support, since the former is only available in Xbox mode and the latter in Switch mode)
Pity it doesn't work on xbox
I had the 8bitdo dongle for PC, so i could use my xbox one controller. Had to install the firmware/update via safe mode on windows 10, as it would just lock up. It's the only issue I've ever had like this.
Given the reviews, copped a couple… now back to work
These are quite good, I use it on PC and Android. Recommend.
Bought one recently for about $70. Works great on the Nintendo switch, Android. Haven't had time to try on PC.
Also got it working on my apple ii, using a2io at http://8bitreality.com
Nice to have one device that works with everything, and it's easy to switch between them.
8BitDo controllers are 1000% worth the money. Excellent quality.
No decent product deserves to be sold by Kogan!
why not?
Seems like it sold out just as I was adding to cart! Too slow :'(
I saw this deal when it just active and I thought there aren't many upvotes based on the comments I decided to buy one when I tried to add to cart then shows all 3 color sold out. :(
Rookie mistake. Should look at the clicks next to the link. (1190+ clicks)
I have already had a Nintendo pro controller and a wireless logitech pccontroller I don't need this very much
I was debating whether to get the black or the SN, decided to buy the black but oos, so end up getting the SN
I heard others said the black look nice but the lettering on the buttons are hard to see. I’ve got the SN from a previous deal for retro reason.
Still on sale at dicksmith for the same price for anyone who missed out.
Back in stock but $57.99 now. I had $20 credit so purchased it anyway
can someone provide feedback on how well these work with the Nintendo Switch? Does it function out of the box in the same way as a Switch Pro controller or do you have to program the buttons accordingly? thanks
