  I did try to find just the 3 slot charger on its own but can't find an original one. Worried about using 3rd party charger ruining the original batteries.

    i always like wasabi battery product. They do have it, but seems like hard to find wasabi batteries and chargers in australia nowadays…

  i had this, they were 99 for 2 months at least.
  i'd say if you are not a heavy user, it is not worth it.
